Another great video Queenie, thank you for showing us the decorations in so much detail. I too am disappointed that stores are not doing nativity scenes. I've had mine for many years it's beautiful.

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with the stores so far this year. I'm not keen on the glass blown items at all and they are everywhere. I'm much more a traditionalist. Love velvet, victorian and woodland themes. And of course SPARKLES!! Lovely video again Queenie, thanks!

I agree with you, Queenie, about the lack of Nativity sets. That would put me off buying anything in that store. I have a soft spot for those felt mice and we can actually get them here in Australia! I have several little cuties. Last year, I sent to London for a Big Ben Christmas tree ornament and I love it. Thanks for taking us browsing.

Firstly Queenie I love your down to earth natural commentary, it does feel like we are walking about with you. I would be hard pressed to say what I loved most in the way of ornament's.. except I would be broke lol. Here in Australia Christmas is fading more and more each year... I think its to do with being in the middle of summer... Being English I roll the whole lot out each year, be you don't see that many Christmas trees ect through peoples windows anymore. Our department stores make hardly any effort at all really. And you are right, the iconic London stores need to step up. Sorry this is so long, but as ever I really enjoyed it.

Hi Cliff! Never apologise for a long comment - i love reading them, and it's really interesting to learn about how Christmas is overseas. Last year, we noticed a real decrease in the amount of trees in windows here in London and we hate how the Mayor has stopped putting on big switch on events in the big shopping area of Oxford Street. It used to be such a brilliant, fun occasion to mark the start of the season. I'm also not really all that pleased with the fact that the lights are turned off at 11 pm either.... Going to film the big shops with you guys coming along with me has been such a brilliant source of Christmassy feeling in a capital that in many parts really lacks any at all. I'm glad to hear that you show them how it's done - keep at it, and we'll keep Christmas alive! Thank you so much for your kind compliments - they made my day! Have a great week ahead, and I look forward to seeing you again soon! Qxxx

Another good trip and all from the comfort of the sofa. The deco harrods one is possibly my favourite although did spot a few others on the way. 😊

You did a wonderful job Miss Q, very thorough. The Christmas section was typical Harrods, very bling, and sparkly, with a lot of decorations that would appeal to a lot of their typical shoppers. The prices were way over the top. Totally lacking in traditional things like, as you said, nativity sets. Comparing it with F&M, I didn't see much evidence of staff being around, whereas at F&M, they were in attendance, and always ready to help. Liked the photos of Harrods Christmas past at the end. xxx

From all those items the only one I really liked was the cuckoo clock, I must be very hard too please but lots of our baubles & tree items are over 40yrs old. I did add a special two every year for our Grandchildren but I’ve not done that for years although I did buy an iridescent turquoise peacock bauble which will be staying out all year on my twig bird tree, tall twig branches from the garden in a big jug full of little birds! Many thanks for the tour Queenie xxx

Hi Lynda! Wow, your Christmas decorations sound wonderful. ♡ Full of memories. My mum is the same - the family tree we have in the living room is like a big green, meaningful memory box! You can't beat that feeling, can you? It's what Christmas is all about. I try to buy ones for my tree wh8xh mean something to me or remind me of things. I was quite taken by the Cuxkoo clock....so... I managed to do a little digging and found it online (for half the Harrods price!) at a place that also sells nativity scenes. Yay! I also ADORE the sound of your bird display! Thank you for telling me about it :) Your Peacoxk will look resplendant! Thank you so much for keeping me company. Have a great rest of the week! Qxxx

I have been searching for a new Christmas tree this year. I really don't like the moulded plastic pine needles that are on every tree and I'm not a fan of balsam hill either. I finally found my perfect tree in homebase and it only cost £96 for a 7 ft tree.
@QueenieofLondon3 ай бұрын
Yay! I'm so happy you found yourself a great new tree! When I had my first place of my own, I brought a 7.5ft from Homebase. It was beautiful and the quality was great. Very full! I had that tree for 7 years and was sad when we had to say goodbye. Have the best fun decorating your new tree and thank you for watching! (Agree with you on the Balsam Hill!) Qxxx

Hi Queenie, thank you so much for sharing beautiful London with us, your videos are amazing. If I were to film glass baubles in Harrods I would break everything and it would end up being more Mr Bean than Queenie. Did you buy the stocking with the Routemaster on it? I’m being completely selfish but just wondering if you’re thinking of videoing the Outlaws exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum? No pressure if you aren’t because I know you’re busy. Much love from Australia
