Pant with an average of 22 out of 70+ matches gets the nod as first choice keeper in t20I whereas sanju has played 1/3 of the innings and has same average.. Pant averages 34 in ODIs and sanju has average of almost 57 and still doesn't get a chance.. Gill who doesn't deserve a place in any format other than ODI is in all formats along with pant... Just shows good PR agency and sympathy is more important than performance

Having so many talents, I strongly believe we should hv separate team for each format. It will really give the players to focus in one particular format and flourish.

I think IPL performance has a huge bearing on the players perception. Sanju is very talented, but doesn’t play for a “Big” IPL team and hasn’t ever won the title either. He ends up not being labelled as a “game changer” and thus gets fewer chances. Also sad that he was knocked over without scoring in his latest game for India vs SL

Rishabh pant, Shubman gill are going end up their career like dhoni and virat nowadays people are look sick they wants to play aggressively and also wants average doubting pant over sanju has no meaning pant scores more runs than anyone in new york terrible condition and rishabh in odi he sealed his place scoring century in a series decider and century in sa he is much improved odi player gill no 2 odi batsman in test he is filling up big shoes no 3 replacing dravid and pujara is not a joke in t20 he is a proven player 2023 ipl above 800 runs in a season century in eliminator now people just started bashing him for no reason if dont back your tested players you end up like a mess

Did you say Shivam Dube is an all-rounder? His economy is 9.5, and he will get hammered if he bowls. Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya are the good all-rounders we have, as Jadeja is not playing. Dube did not bowl much in the IPL, and he didn't bowl in the T20 World Cup either. If that's the case, why don't you add a proper batsman? Let it not be Sanju Samson, but Rinku Singh could have been in the ODI side. 1:09

I could not agree with you more. I feel that Gill should have found it hard to get into the Indian T20 squad. I feel that we cannot be conservative in T20s and that we need explosive top order batters like Sanju at number 3 and the two openers in Jaiswal and Abhishek.

Pant was the only consistent batter in the group stage and I think it was fair to give him the go in ODIs, and I agree KLR's style suits only the ODI format even then we have seen him failing in important matches. Sanju is unlucky and even when he got chances he didn't get a long rope, I remember him hitting a six and getting out in his second game in one of his callups. I feel even more than abhishek sharma rutu deserves an opportunity atleast in T20Is given his stellar Intl record and consistency.

In T20IS,Sanju and Pant,both have BELOW AVERAGE STATS! instead Ishan Kishan should have been included atleast in T20IS even in ODIs in 2023 he was so impactful! Iyer can come then why not Kishan?
