Let me clarify this for you. In pa where im currently on parole my sentence is 21/2 to 8 years. My first sentence in florida was just shy of 2 1/2 years. Which at 85 percent in 1996 meant i had around 90 days that i could have lost if i had gotten in trouble. Ive done 90 on my head in the hole ! However, on my current sentence in Pa if i would have gotten in trouble i would lose 6 years!!!!! And thats what i meant when i said Florida dont give you good time cause you barely get shit! People focus on the wrong part of the mesaqge. These stories i told are 30 years old and are a reflection of my teenage self not who i am currently.

I had a two year sentence in Fl with 3 felonies in wisconsin. One year into it I found out about the "intrastate agreement on detainer act". It got me out of shithole Fl and into wisconsin. That's after both states told me to fuk myself and I'd do my wisconsin time after I was done with my florida time. 😂I filed the detainer act they did what the feds told them to do. That's a Federal deal. All you need is the warden at the institution to sign a form and it starts. I'm sure you know about the speedy trial thing it applies as soon as you file.

From a C.O. that's worked in multiple States, This adult prison system in Florida operates like a juvenile detention treatment center and trains officers to perform like child protective service case workers in a family-drug community oriented environment that rewards inmates like a high school teacher grades its students in comparison to prison systems west of the mississippi. Florida has no protective custody units, with the exception of Raiford, which means a large number of inmates that would be considered "marks" in other states and deemed "protective custody" intermingle with general population inmates who are mostly made-up of self-proclaimed gang affiliations in cities that most have no association with. These are considered violations in western state prison inmate populations and punishable by death on-site with guards or no guards present. Inmates and officers can attest to this. Most Florida inmate populations openly declare individuality and see no harm in extorting child molestors or rapists. Whereas western state inmate populations consider the monetary or goods exchange as "doing business" with child molestors or rapists, therefor constitutes a violation punishable by death. Think about it... would you knowingly go into a business transaction with a known child molestor? What would your wife/husband say about that? what would your family say about that? how would that affect your image if you operated your business like that outside of prison? Probably wouldn't do it. Western inmate populations start "inmate disturbances" and riots to fulfill murder hits on mostly would be protective custody inmates. Most Florida "disturbances" are started as a distraction for contraband drops and transactions. It seems the western part of the country has an inmate population that is focused on structure, discipline and organization. And the eastern part of the country has an inmate population that is focused on drug relations, money and community-oriented individualism (a conundrum). I discovered Florida has a hereditary officer-inmate favoritism problem where many inmates have blood, cultural and community relations to prison staff such as in human resources, recruiters, chaplains, nurses and officers that partake in relationship-like communication which is forbidden in all other state correctional facilities I've worked. I'd also like to point out that Florida is the only state prison system I've worked where an obvious proportion of the inmate population originates from upper-middle class families or above that openly claim involvement in the drug trade. If you've originated from the middle-class or above then why are you involving yourself with the drug trade? Inmates I've asked seemed just as confused as I was. Coming from a poor background myself, I took offense to many upper-middle class inmates activity in the drug trade, as most of the poor kids in my city (including myself) saw and experienced at an early age the collateral damage drug abuse created and have tried extremely hard to do everything but get involved with drugs... including getting a job. So, apparently in Florida, if you grew up middle class or above, it means your accessibility to the drug trade is easier, so why not? Typical Florida inmate scenario: James grandma gets prescribed valuum and percocet so James decides to steal ma'mas prescriptions and get some girls high, and to have sex with them. Well, the girls... they tell their friends, and James starts selling grandmas prescriptions to them. But when James get caught, James get a slap on the hand... I'll tell you why: James gets the ol' "now james... speech" because "the town" knows he's a good kid. While in jail for 7 days for selling grandmas precriptions, James meets Dave, who is from ohio, and who has this meth he tells James to try when they get out. They eventually meet up, and James smokes a bowl of meth with his new friend. Time goes by, James studies Dave selling meth to some family or who he seems to be closely related to. Dave is selling meth out of his dead grandpas trailer in Sarasota. After awhile, Dave introduces James to his biker brother, Jimmy. James idolizes Jimmy the biker. James thinks its super cool now to sell meth for him. What an opportunity. But James has a problem, he uses the meth he's supposed to sell and ends up getting caught with about 4.2 grams. All James did is run a red light while experiencing sleep deprivation. You know, simple stuff. When pulled over, James told the cops he got the meth from Daves biker brother Jimmy and that it was stupid. The cops nodded with a "ohhhh" we know them. James goes to court, and the Judge ends up being familiar with Daves biker brother Jimmy. The Judge and Jimmy graduated from the same high school at the same year from the same small town in an upper-middle class neighborhood of a medium size ohio city. The Judge convicts James with possession of paraphenalia and sentences him to 6 months probation and to complete an online course about addiciton (at his own leisure). Later, James meets up with Daves and his Biker Brother Jimmy to celebrate. While partying that night, Jimmy's friend tattoos James neck with the phrase "I GOT HEART" and tattoos around his right eye with the phrase "REAL FLORIDA CRACKA" and tattoos under James left eye "FOUR AND 1/4 TEARDROPS" to signify the 4.2 grams James was busted with. Now over time, this experience molds James to become like a gangster, and the town considers him to be a "thug". Word spreads across the county and James becomes known as "that dude" because he developed a loud tone of voice and won't turn down a fight (needs a few drinks first though). One day James picks a fight with guy named Cory. Cory is from another county. James loses the fight and is embarrassed so he grabs Jimmy's revolver from his motorcycle pouch and shoots Cory 5 times. Jimmy the biker threatens the witnesses so they run away because no-one messes with the outlaws rapists biker club business. James is charged with attempted manslaughter because Jimmy testified he tried to squeeze his gun out of James hand which caused him to pull the trigger that accidently hit Cory. Since no witnesses came forward to support Cory's statement, the Judge knows James is a good kid so it only seemed appropriate to convict him of attempted manslaughter. James gets sentenced to 1 year of incarceration in a state correctional facility (dormatory) and 4 years probation. James meets a C.O. that asks him about his tattoos and James responds with "I'm a Hot Boy!". I did some research on James and was told by a Lieutenant that his Mother has worked at the local court house as a clerk for over 20 years and his father is part owner of a well established Honda car dealership and his sister is a Commissioned Officer in the Navy and his Grandparents worked very hard operating a local church for almost 50 years. Lieutenant talked about they're last name as if it was royalty. Now, I discovered about 80% of those inmates involved in the drug trade at the institution I worked in Florida have parents with long-term careers in a civil service position in the county where they originated from or have long-term involvement with a community-oriented organization that county. All of the inmate population I've dealt with in western inmate populations who are involved in the drug trade originate from third-world to poor backgrounds and are generational gang members with strict codes of conduct convicted of brutal pre-meditated homicides that send messages when you read the paperwork. It was such a big difference in comparison with dealing with cortez in SMU out west who decapitated 3 rival gang members with a makeshift sword and only stopped cutting the heart out of one rival when inhaled oc spray or dealing with smith's schitzophrenic episodes when he would dig out the tendons in his hands by pushing and puncturing the skin between his knuckles with pencils and pens pulling them out and sacrificing them to satan while naked and smeared in his own feces and vomit screaming on the top of his lungs "KILL THEM ALL! KILLLL THEMMM ALLLLLLLLL!". Always on high alert and yearly lockdowns due to State-wide declared inmate gang wars in the prisons and the streets. Then I come to Florida to get a break and met a 57 year old white male convicted of raping a teenager who openly claimed, in general population, to be a gang member... what gang I asked? He answered: "bloods!".

Lake Butler / RMC is currently the worst and most violent prison in FLDOC per capita. CFRC is bad but at least its in Orlando. Lake Butler is in Lake Butler is in Union CO in the MIDDLE of GD nowhere. And sweep the sun off the walk is 100% real. The fact tht he mentioned Brevard CI is CRAZY. Thats my hometown (Brevard CO {Melbourne/Eau Gallie} is home, Not Sharpes) but BCI is right cross the street from our CO Jail (Sharpes) and our Work Release Center so on Camp RD, This little 2 lane country ass rd with nothing but trailer parks has 3 prisons within 1 mile. Whereas on my Pennsylvania sentence the simplest write up could cost me up to 6 years !!!! Florida doesn't give you shit. I know I was in there twice!!! But I was released in 2001 , probably before half of the trolls commenting were even born. If real recognizes real there's no doubt why most of these commenters can't tell what they are seeing.
