I just switched from a smaller mainline (JB) to a legacy and it’s such a better quality of life! I don’t blame you for feeling how you do tho. I’ve only been flying for a year combined (2 trainings in 6 months) & I can’t do it over again. But the money is so much better at a legacy! A bit more work but just barely.

I have been following you since the beginning and decided to try the job. First went to mainline and that roommate situation was a no go for me! Then I decided to try your airline. I graduated and tried the job and the benefits and everything you are saying is the absolute truth except I was at the bottom of the reserve list. I was gone more than I was home and couldn't get on standby flights. Finally I realized the "lifestyle" wasn't worth it and have moved on. I do love your videos and will continue to watch because they reaffirm what I already know and I like your style! 😎🌞🌤🌔🌘

Thanks for sticking with me 🤗💞 I’m glad you took the risk and tried the FA life. I’m happy to give my perspective but ultimately one has to decide if it’s for them on their own. What was the deal breaker for you with the roommate situation?

Thanks for sharing the 'realness' of the job. What is a stand-up?
@realpristine8 ай бұрын
A stand up is working a late night flight and having minimal rest to take the first flight out in the morning. 9:40 pm flight ➡️ 5:45 am flight next day 😅

How can one arrange car rental, book a hotel while depending on a stand by scenario, not to mention time wasted from your vacation before even arriving Portugal Madeira Island. Im going to my FA training next month , wish me good luck. I agree the money in this profession isn't that great, Im about to take pay cut.

Some people wait until they are on the plane about to take off before they book their hotel lol Most times we go the day we want and things look good, but twice I just came the day before. 1, first trip the day I wanted to leave wasn't looking great so we left the day before and just paid an extra day at the hotel 2, the second incident we took the very last flight the night before, got to our destination at like 1am the day of and just waited for we were able to drop our things But I recommend not to book any outings on your planned travel day. That's for sure

I'll be blunt: I have not understood how 'single people' are paying their bills for a long time now . As any 'parent' - as if you needed another one - would tell you, unless you're just short of drowning, I would consider your lease/car/ obligations before doing any job changing. Your videos are-and-always-have-been wonderful; and you're a very pleasant young lady with great communication skills. You'd do well in about any job I can think of.

Thank you Kevin! Also, I agree, the cost of living definitely requires more than one stream of income. I will be exploring my options. I might have to make Pepper own his keep and make him a page🎥😸

🌚🌚yes, Ms. P, always watch & listen to everything. This is one of your very best vlogs. It shows you in an introspective mode with good logical comparisons across several areas. Parenthetically, you really look good, but you already have to know you are good looking and with a warm personality. (Not hitting on you at age 82😊). Anyway, my take is that you want to stay with OO, and that $$ in sufficient amounts to really make the perks worth it is the base of the discontent. Could you see yourself having a roomie, with the caveat that there was a good vetting process , and the person had good rapport, maturity, and sensitivity? Your friend, Herman

Thank you !! I definitely want to share more of my personal thoughts/ dilemmas that I have as a flight attendant but I also want to provide solution oriented advice. However , the goal is to produce insightful content to help you all. In terms of a roommate , I think I could do it because it would be short term. The hard concept is starting all over again with no seniority or schedule flexibility.
@Herman-in-SEA8 ай бұрын
@@realpristine yes yes yes. At the bottom, reserve for who knows how long. Better to protect that seniority. And don’t forget, you guys get some boarding pay

You have to much talent to be a FA. Anymore it’s just a maid service. Travel is just not that expensive, get a long time career. Standby sucks because everything is over sold.
