I was in and out of hospital a lot as a kid and had to have IV drips a lot, and I remember one time the nurse had to try like 5 or 6 different spots on me because my veins were too feint for her to get. I ended up having it down on my top of my wrist instead of the places I would usually have them like bottom of wrist or near the inside of my elbow. You'd think I would have a phobia of needles and stuff now but I always make a happen to look when they do it.

I'd love an autumnal Christmas. It would still be idealised and pretty but still just warm and bright enough to exist in Britain. If I could go into statis from November to March and miss out the fucking grim misery of the British winter, I would. Get rid of Bonfire Night and Halloween and have Christmas mid October.

Robert Wadlow was a very sad story, but have to give credit to Illinois for making the tallest human in history. But look up the picture of Shaq standing next to a wax figure of Wadlow. He was so big that Shaq looked small.

"I don't think we've been around long enough to evolve" I get the sentiment, but evolution isn't discrete jumps. We're constantly evolving. Appendices have been shrinking to the point that inflamed appendices, which become more likely with smaller appendices, are actually threatening to life. Not to say the racist notions that different nations produce different types of "people", that's bunk. But, all of us are currently evolving with respect to our environments.

one thing to point out about the time freezing scenario, you do NOT want to be the person getting frozen and heres why. Lets say theres the button pusher and the time scientist. From the button pusher's perspective they push the button, then press it again to unfreeze time. Simple. From the time scientist's perspective however, time is frozen. Everything around them freezes, including the button pusher. This means the time scientist would never see the button pusher un-push the button and they will be stuck there for infinity while moments pass for the button pusher. You've basically sentenced the time scientist to infinity in time prison. On one hand it doesnt make sense. How can the button pusher experience mere moments when the time scientist experienced an infinite amount of time? But if you think about the perspectives of the button pusher and the scientist separately its the only outcome.
