I'm a bus driver, only do school runs now as dealing with the public sucks. But being a school bus driver is fricking ace, drive for an hour morning and afternoon and play computer games all day and get 13 weeks holiday a year.

School bus drivers in some areas of Colorado in the US start at 27 dollars an hour and get decent annual raises because of a shortage

I am a primary school teacher and we have a knits out break at the moment. We don't allow any nuts in the school due to allergies, and the amount of children we had to send home due to having peanut butter in their hair was ridiculous. Like, do people actually think that works?! 🤔

I can say from experience that when a loved one did disappear for a while the police did quickly find them because of their car. After determining they were mentally fit the police let them go and informed us and let them be. The police couldn't give us much more details iirc but I think it adds to my point that attempting to vanish in the modern world is very difficult due to the amount of imformation about us that can be traced.

I think withdrawing money before you vanish would alert them to the fact you had run away, they monitor your accounts and would be able to put 2 and 2 together quickly. If you withdrew everything on Monday and vanished Tuesday, the police would instantly assume you had tried to disappear. You'd need to just up and go somewhere, you could hide in plain sight if no-one knows who you are. Tell your family you're moving to Australia, go by a different name, create a different life story and go somewhere fucking random and be another person. You don't have to live in the woods, you could rent a flat, just do odd cash in hand jobs and be homeless until you can rent somewhere, make a new bank account as this new person and change your appearance by shaving your head and unless you accidentally run into someone you know, if no-one knows you're 'missing', you could just live as someone else across the country. Just never use your cards or phone ever again.

Question! How does one create a fingle? I looked it up, and just found an app about a finger game.

I've been fans of you guys for 8+ years at this point, going back to the OG minecraft days. I listen to your podcasts all the time on Spotify, and I just wanna say that the 'Pickaxe' ads are too frequent and also annoying. I pay for Spotify Premium to avoid ads, I understand the partner/publisher helps spread word of your podcast, but it's not fair for those paying extra to not have ads, to still have ads and need to pay even more to knock another ad wall down.

How is 27 thousand a year good money? Thats kinda peanuts. What is average annual wage in UK?
@MegaJonny54321 Жыл бұрын
I think its just because its basically like a trainee position. Does still seem pretty low tho

Depends which average salary you are looking for. For part-time employees its about £12,000 (~$14,600) For full time employees it's about £33,000 (~$40,300) For all employees in the UK (both part time and full time) its about £27,700 (~$34,000).

£19K a year is the beginning wage I’d say.

I’d say 27K is average wage for most people.
