Chris Holmes 2 Words: Fantastic Content. Nah, but seriously that is most of the answer. Yes, luck is always a component on KZbin, but Kyle has consistently put out great relateable, affordable, down to Earth, homemade, not bought and paid for videos that people love. Back when he was doing more "racing" in the hatch, he did get attention from Facebook posts and 1320 etc. which definitely helped launch him, but the channel was doing well before that. It started out with a few kids playing with a pet snake, RC cars, and turbo charging Hondas with eBay parts. What's not to love? Then instead of taking the Haggard route and continuing to screw everything up and wasting tons of money and breaking things and paying other people for work, Kyle just continued to do it all himself and do it well. With help from friends obviously, but damn does he put in work. So basically the formula success was good videos, relateable content, and well deserved attention from the internet. I'm hoping someday I can follow a similar path. :D
