No worries! My first experience on the haunt was thinking it was a devhunt so I immediately hopped on games and wondering where the quests, badges and UGCs are but realized there was none… I looked around on different platforms on what you had to do and it was a picture taking contest. I saddened hearing this but heard it got worse from hearing the problem with Pressure. I only joined for the UGCs… I wasnt having fun with this whole event except for the lobby. I hope Roblox listens to their viewers to make better events and better games for their players since the reputation they have is getting poor. I ‘AINT READING ALLAT

Even thought I do feel bad for the fact that some of the participating developers wasted so much time just to get full confirmation on this event's purpose last minute, the best we should do is to enjoy their integrations and at least playing them to show appreciation of their work, not just dreading about all their hard work for nothing.

Honestly, I can only really speak from the perspective of a Pressure fan here, as that's the only game I play that got in. I had only recently gotten into the game, just a week or so ago before The Haunt was announced. Despite me not usually liking horror, I found myself really invested into the gameplay and story, and I just kept going. Eventually me and my friends found out about The Haunt, and that Pressure was going to do a new campaign for it. We were very excited, and we knew Pressure's devs were going to make a statement for their first roblox event. Pressure's devs actually released The Raveyard a little before The Haunt started, and it was amazing. The concept of this yearly anomalous skeleton party in a graveyard you've been sent to shut down was just super goofy, spooky, and an original idea. Although The Raveyard was a little scuffed at first, I found it really charming and fun. Then as The Haunt approached, we wondered what Pressure was going to add to this short and sweet campaign for The Haunt. That's when we found out the truth of The Haunt, and it really irked us. Why not tell all the devs beforehand that it's just a costume contest?! I just feel so bad for them honestly getting duped so hard. As much as I really loved The Raveyard, I can't help but find it in vain. It's far from a waste of time, I would go on and say The Raveyard isn't part of The Haunt, it's a full on independent event, but I just feel sorry for Pressure's dev team. Going into The Haunt in general, I already have a large distain for dev hunts, but woah did The Haunt disappoint far harder than an ordinary dev hunt. I wrote this while very sleep deprived, sorry if I'm being kinda stupid here...

i remember the events back in the day and it revolved around a particular continued event, like the easter event where we can get some egg heads by completing quests in games. another event subsequent to the removal of the egg hunt event thing was also not that disappointing, considering what remains is a remnant from all of the egg hunt event. now, the modern day events are just random unsolicited and disappointing events which in no way represent on what events we had back in the day. now, it is just completing some tasks for a random item, but back then, we get an accessory for ever game completed, and there was actual fun from those events back there.

One thing that annoys me too the rewards are mostly made by ugc creators which feels like a ugc event and this even shows that roblox is lazy to make an item they even had 2 months to plan. This worries me if we are having an egg hunt in 2025 or future events because if this continues to be made by ugc creators it will feel like a ugc event and not an actual event.

Only good part about this event was the items that were not created by Roblox, but actually created by other UGC creators. The rest? Trash. Super short event, nothing to do on the event, people who won the contests had no creativity and just posted the same thing over and over again, and the games promoted there weren't even important to the event, you didn't even have to play the games, just join and take a goddamn picture. Even though The Haunt was so exhausting, it was an enjoyable event that reminded me of their last Egg Hunt event. The Classic was good even though most games weren't even classic. The Games was not really good in my opinion, but at least it made the community more active & had players fighting for their team to win... But this? What's memorable about this event?

The First Official Roblox-Held Event I played in was The Hunt. I started playing Roblox in 2019, but never found about Egg Hunts until 2022. I was excited for The Hunt, but playing over the 99+ Games was impossible for me, thus, causing me to get only 46 of the 95 needed. The Classic Was Better for me, but still painful. I got everything in the hub and every avatar item. (Besides the purchasable ones.) What they did with the boss battle on the final day was disappointing. Making an Roblox Item for 36000 Robux Instead of just giving us one for free for beating the boss battle or completing the pass is wild. None of the games here were classic AT ALL. The Games, (Roblox Event.) While worse than the two Roblox Events before, did a better job at its boss battle and was is Overall better than The Haunt. It was optional to complete its boss, and gave you an Roblox Item to make up for the fakeout of The Classic. They said they’d give an exclusive item for MVP Players, And I’m still waiting on that award! I was able to complete this event, still. The bad thing about this one is that it was Kinda Rigged. Crimson Cats Had Nightfox, Kreekcraft, and Lana. Some of the Largest Content Creators of all time. Compared to the other teams, it was unfair. The Mighty Ninjas were battling with the Crimson Cats the entire event, but lost. I’ll admit, I was on Crimson Cats. The event item for completing most of the games was a Mediocre Roblox Accessory. Roblox Innovation Awards 2024 was also mid. (Quick foreshadowing of The Haunt Before I talk about it.) (As I was Typing this, Roblox Made A Short/Video titled “Real Struggle? Not being ready for the Haunt.” WHAT THE HECK ROBLOX? THE REAL STRUGGLE IS THAT YOU NEED TO MAKE BETTER EVENTS THAT AREN’T BAD.) The Haunt. The Worst Event So Far. This Event had alot of potential. It could’ve (And Should’ve) Been an easy homerun for Roblox, however, they keep aiming below their waste, instead of in the middle. They didn’t even tell game devs about it being a costume contest until the last minute. Examples? Pressure and Piggy. MiniToon and EpikTank were very passionate about the Bunny Chapter and the Haunt, even leading to Mini Pushing Himself through the 2019 Sickness to get this chapter out. However, weren’t told till the last minute that it was a costume contest. Same with the pressure devs. I’m not a big fan of pressure, but just hearing this makes me sad… They worked really hard on the raveyard update, just to learn that it was The Haunt was a costume contest at the last minute. I hate voting. Most of the avatars, If not ALL were from the games in the haunt. Doors Was spammed with this. While yes, it’s toned down a little bit, It’s still pretty upsetting to see this, when DTI Does a better job at contests than this, when i’m not even an DTI Player who constantly plays the game. Roblox has constantly been dropping disappointment after disappointment. Ever since The Classic Dropped, things have only gone downhill. I will say this though, Roblox has put effort into their events and is actually listening to the community. That’s what I love about Roblox In 2024.

I'd say that your opinion on this event is valid. I was also very disappointed at this event because it's just a contest. Not only that but the Pressure Devs made the Raveyard for nothing, that took them a month to make just for roblox to bitch-slap their ass with a contest. And they really fucked up with the creatures section because it's literally just creatures and not avatars. And the event would be good if you Actually had to do something to the UGC's instead of taking boring pictures. (Sorry if I'm a bit rough on contest's I just don't see why people like contest's, you just watch people dressed up in clothes like what's fun about that?)

yeah also you dont need to even do anything to your avatar, you can just take a photo of a random object in a participating game, submit it, and get the items each day (really boring and annoying process btw) theyre probably going to quit events again for a longer time because nobody likes this event really, each event this year has gotten worse than the last (except the classic) and the ratings on them show that. i think they should have just like done a UGC item contest or something, maybe you could even describe a cool halloween hat or bundle you would like along with a drawing, and they would give it to you if you won (they did that in 2019 for roblox's 13th birthday)
