Well I love a mystery and I nearly always can work out what is happening halfway through…but right up to the last word and even now I have no idea what the point of this story really was.

I must be daft, but I don't understand it. So the places were switched between Ferrari and the husband but why bother hiding the body if both are dead anyways? Why was he locking himself in his room. Why lock himself in, if he is cruel to his wife and maybe the 'brother'? Obviously the 'brother' is the affair she likes to keep. Allegedly, the Countess says her husband is not a good person. But Agnes has known him and his family her entire life and suddenly never knew about that part of him? What happened to Emily? Is the Countess and her 'brother' just con artists? Then suddenly she finds remorse and off herself. I'm more and more confused. Someone please explain. Maybe, I'll just get the book 😅
