I am a catholic and I believe that the 2 priests n nun were in an inappropriate relationship. In our faith, the priests n nuns r to take vows of chastity. If this vow is broken they can lose their priesthood & nunhood. Its a thing of deep shame, hence the tremendous pressure to cover-up. I am deeply ashamed that such priests & nuns do exist and bring bad name to the congregation. Also, the sin of adultary is a very serious sin, which can land a person in hell. I just hope & pray that the Lord will bring the truth to light.

Gosh. This reinforces my belief in the judiciary😅 They take so much time to solve a case, jail the perpetrators and later release them on bail. Why? Yeah it is an old case when forensic wasn't so evolved. But the witness? He stood his ground inspite of torture while others turned hostile. Witness protection doesn't exist in India. 🤬

Also, for anyone curious - Narco analysis are not admissible in courts, they can only be relied upon by investigating agencies to carry out an investigation because these analyses aren't black or white, very subjective and can be easily manipulated Also, this reminds me strangely of the Elisa Lam case and the Talwar case! Despite many theories, it is commonly accepted that Elisa was suffering a psychotic break and k*lled herself but the Talwar case is a similar mystery, no?

Amazing work Zain! This case in particular seems to have inspired Drishyam 2; where the thief becomes a witness. A lot of creators in the west do a similar 'Unsolved' type series and I always wondered if we will get something similar from India too. Adakka@Raju, the then thief was sitting under a cocao tree beside the convent hostel boundry wall till 5am. He left the place when heard the siren ringing at 5am. His first testimony is that he saw two priests and a nun standing on the terrace of the convent and searching for something using a torch light. (testimony given to a Magistrate after the arrest of the accused). Then in the Court he said that he saw the two priests and a nun walking towards the emergency staircase of the convent building using a torch light. When somebody walks in the night using a torch light it is very difficult to see the face of that person. How he could recognise or remember the face of the two priests and nun who had not seen by him before in his life after 18 years of the unfortunate death of Sr Abhaya. Sr. Abhaya died by 5am. Adakka@Raju was present near the convent wall till 5am. He could easily see the well of the convent from where he was sitting. But he never said that he saw the priests and a nun dumping Sr Abhaya into the well of the convent. If he had said that he saw Priests and a nun threw or dumped Sr Abhaya into the well he would have to explain how they did it. Then the injury caused on Sr Abhaya should match with the injury which can happen due to throwing or dumping Sr.Abhaya into the well. It's forensic science. So CBI restricted Adakka@,Raju's testimony at the same time his heart is clean by not saying that he saw how Sr Abhaya was killed.
