Unpopular opinion: I like Alastor's demonic form in the comic more than the one in the show, because it is scarier and looks more like what a infernal evil beast would look like, the uncanny valley element of the form is incredible.

I think the fact that Alastor saved that goat lady instead of ignoring or killing her himself shows this he’s not above changing his ways. That and the hints of him caring about Charlie and co that he’s not irredeemable

Alastor's true demon form is based off the Wechuge, not the Wendigo. The Wechuge is Athabaskan folklore from Western Canada & is often depicted as having an animal head. The Wendigo is Algonquian folklore from quite literally everywhere else in Canada excluding the north. It looks like a tall, gaunt, pale human. They both eat people but they are not at all the same. I'm Native Canadian & it's upsetting to see so many people misrepresent our folklore.

In the defense of people thinking it’s the wendigo, most media over the last 20+ years depicting a wendigo tends to take more inspiration from the Wechuge. If you look up wendigo, it’ll show a lot of depictions more similar to Wechuge. Also, I have heard from other Native Canadians that some tribes believe that the Wendigo looks similar to the Wechuge as well, while others view it as what you said, a tall gaunt emaciated human. I haven’t done enough research into it to be absolutely certain.

While there is a difference between the two, I kinda have sort of a headcanon that the Wendigo and Wechuge could be related on some level - with perhaps the former being what they start out like and the latter being what they gradually become over time. I dunno if that’s considered sacrilegious or not, I just thought it’d be sort of an interesting attempt at tying the two together in a way that’s a bit more accurate to the legends.

I remember Alastor from the Prequel Comics and I think it's pretty interesting especially when we see what Alastor does in his free time. Of course we saw everyone being afraid of him and Vox is on the TV Screens just like what he did in the show. I even remember Alastor killed the Butcher Demon for harassing the Demon Sheep Lady. Plus I like that in the show, they reference the Hazbin Hotel Comics in some episodes like with Dirty Healings for example.

I’m pretty sure by the time he gets to the butcher shop he’s out of the canibbal colony. The butcher was trying to sexually assault the sheep demon not eat her. We see from the show he eats regular meat too, I think it was literally just a regular butcher shop. That’s why they dont look like the other cannibals, cause they weren’t cannibals.

The Alastor comic seems to be the only one that’s kinda iffy in the show’s canonical narrative, with Vox being aware of Alastor’s return when he views him through the screens whereas in the show he learns about his return in the 2nd episode. The Angel Dust comic, on the other hand, seems like it can still work in the current continuity. With the cast of “Helluva Boss” being originally planned for “Hazbin Hotel”, I have to wonder just how different the show would’ve been with their addition. Would Blitzo and the rest have carried out their business in the hotel? Would the hotel attendants have unsettled business on Earth? It raises a lot of questions.

If there's a nod to the prequel comics in the shows' second season, that would be grand, esecially with how much more diverse the cannibals were, and the sheep demon. The latter could be an interesting addition in exploring how deals are made and what the different parties could gain from them, especially interesting with Alastor.

I know shows like Young Justice and Volton have licenses companion comics maybe Amazon Prime could do the same thing with Hazbin? they could even rework the all ready released comics so that everything it canon.

If you find some other comic dubs about Alistair, you might get a good luck at his childhood, where he had the best mother ever, which can explain why he has a nice spot for women, but his father was bad and there was this man with a dog that bit him, but he blamed Alistair for itmeaning that he hates men and the other reason why he might be in his sinner form is because he hunted a deer and ate it but he’s probably a cannibal as well

That is a good theory and I know it's just a fan theory, but that theory would get debunk just by the simple fact that Alastor owns Husk's soul and Husk already had black and yellow eyes even before he sold his soul to Alastor. There's also the case of Alastor, that supposedly he also sold his soul to someone and he still has red eyes, unless the deal he made it's like the own he made with Charlie in episode 7 and the deal didn't make him sell his soul. But by the way that Husk says that Alastor is also on a leash just like him, there's a high change that Alastor also sould his soul. But just like I said if that theory was true it would be really interesting.

I've been watching your videos for some time now and while I like the videos overall because of the bonus facts and interesting theories that can get a person thinking. Why is it that you don't re-record segments that you mess up and "fix" things with annotations after the fact? Adding an asterisk with the correction just seems like a cop out while everything else you do seems to improve. Why not take the extra five minutes to re-record and up the production value as a whole?

I think people take for granted how easy their set ups are, but for me to record something and send it to my editor to fix and re-render and send back to me as well as make the adjustments to it can be a full 24 hour turn around. I'm not sure why you would call it a 'cop out', like we put the correction in the video.

The part that's still weird to me is how everyone harps on Alastor's 7 year hiatus. Being immortal what does 7 years mean. What made Vox and everyone else think Alastor wasn't a threat anymore?

Well 7 years to an immortal living life passively is one thing. In the power struggle of the Pride ring where Alastor was previously actively and consistently involved since spawning in Hell and making certainly numerous enemies, not to mention 7 exterminations in that same time frame...it could be an easy assumption that he, as Zestial said, had fallen to holy arms. Plus, in fairness, Charlie and Vaggie were *very* serious about the Radio Demon being on their doorstep, and Vox was 100% on that overcompensating flavored copium and outright said how imperative it was for them to ensure no deal could be made between him and Charlie. And while Carmilla was nonplussed by his absence, that just seemed more in character for her to just have not concerned herself with it rather than think he wasn't a threat, and others like Zestial and Rosie greeted him cordially and friendly and even Mimzy came right to him when she was in a jam despite him being MIA for that long. The people in the know are the ones who respect Alastor's reappearance, whereas it's the dumb (or ignorant like Angel who doesn't "keep up with politics") who write him off.
