mg 151 shell self-explodes after 850m to 900m if you had 0 speed and target was 0 speed .It's fun to watch and grab from your experience and tips.

It started to self-explode recently, thx to Gaijin's ridiculous decision to equip almost all German HE shells with self-destruct fuze, while there were also non-self-destruct fuses available. Self destruct made sens when defending against allies, it makes 0 sense in WT setting, it's only role is to further nerf MG151/20 (why is Shvak so damn superior in ballistics and so damn effective damage-wise?).

You should Talk about energy trap, personally I find that baiting the headon (when higher), and when the Guy come at the right distance, I just evade, with the good timing you can energy trap every single plane if the pilot make the mistake.

Excellent tutorial meine Freund, now what would be a better convergence distance for the cannons? I usually use 700 m but there is a lot of debate on this. Your videos show very effective use of canons, what setting do you use?

@wertherland Thanks you for your kind words. Glad you like the video. I use 600m convergence for Fw190's. The wingroot cannons are very close to the center and offer inner burst density, while.the butter cannon in the middle of the wings offer butter burst density. Making the 190 able to fire very dense salvos. This is very good for headons. The 600m convergence means that at 1200m the shots go back to the width of my cannon barrels, covering a good lethal center of mass area. The human error plus the inaccuracy during stressful or quick reaction situations offer more spread to catch even an evading enemy.

Hi there! I am Romanian and no, that is not a fixed smoke scheme, it is just me using the twitch drop tri-color and I put the Romanian colors in it. It triggers some people haha!

I wonder what are your gunsight settings Most people tell me to put it on 400m because shooting from farther away would be stupid But in your head-on I see you shooting from more then 1.2km Does the spread not intervine with accuracy if my gunsight is to close?

@@skulleke1980 600m is perfect. 600m convergence means thatbis where your bullets cross each other. Meaning that at 1200m they are back to inițial barrel position. Meaning you can have deadly accurate spread from 1200m to even 1600m. MG151 does not have range past 1200m but in a headon both you and yhe enemy are flying towards each other.l so the closing speed means your cannons do not have to fly more than 1200m anyway to hit yhe enemy because your flight speed add to the velocity and the enemy is also flying towards your shots. Hope this explains why 600m is the best and why I use it. Regarding close range kills... 600m is still fine. As inner 2 cannons are super close to the engine giving a tight spread. Outter cannons help for your human error when aiming. 600m is simply the best. That is how and why I kill even enemies that technically outrange me. Always shoot first and evade first.

i dont agree with evading to the left at the range that a head on takes place it is easy to clearly see the wing orientation of the enemy i always try to roll 180 degrees counter to their current orientation and then pull as it makes it almost impossible for them to take a lead shot as i evade as i have found that there are many extremely stupid people playing this game that if you fail to kill in the head on will continue the full commit until they die or ram you most aircraft cant pull neg gs very well by forcing them they just cant pull lead when you evade

please do not teach the idiots to do more idiotic stuff…headons are only a good idea, if you are in a worse aircraft and below him (or in other words with lower energy). but my team members will still go headon with burning enemies…
