Sr. Miriam is responsible for bringing me back to my Catholic roots. Through watching her and her wonderful heartwarming talks telling me God loves me, I came back to the Catholic Church, went to confession and became a practicing Catholic after 25 years of being away. Forever indebted to this holy nun. 💖

@@bluebear7061 dear Blue Bear, See if you can find a book called, “He and I “ it is a spiritual journal of a French woman . She was having Locutions. They are like love letters from God . Even if it is fictional they are beautiful. And if you can find an adoration chapel and sit with the Blessed Sacrament ;even if only for a few minutes to start. I fell in love with Jesus in an adoration chapel. There is great healing in all the sacraments, but adoration is the one thing satan and the fallen angels refuse to do. There are all types of nuns. Typically “nuns” live in cloistered communities in convents. “Sisters” tend to be more involved in community. All groups of nuns/sisters have different purpose and missions. Some teach, do soup kitchens, work at hospitals, etc. There is an interesting docuseries called The Sisterhood. It follows 5 girls trying to decide if it’s right for them. It’s actually really interesting. You can find clips on KZbin I believe. Oh and I have heard the movie Cabrini is really good, too.

I was fifteen minutes in and thought, "When this woman dies, I want to be the one that she works a miracle for so that she can beatified." Sr. Miriam's presentation of Christ and how He longs to heal us is ABSOLUTELY POWERFUL. How have I never heard the Gospel preached like this by the Church? She has the urgency of Evangelicals with the truth of the Magisterium--there is NOTHING dry, compromising, or stiff about Sr. Miriam! Neither does she condemn, contradict, or pontificate. I definitely think she's "got" whatever that priest she was talking about has.

I needed this so badly today. As an adoptee yesterday was the anniversary of my reunion with my birth mom and her birthday. My heart has been broken for a very long time. The past 6 months have been so painful and I broke. Listening to Sister Miriam helped me reconcile some of my issues, trauma and pain. The prayer at the end was salve for my brokenness and pain. Thank you! It’s not by accident that this video was suggested today. I’m beginning RCIA this Thursday with my husband. The Lord has been leading us to the Catholic Church and this journey has been bringing up my trauma but I know that Jesus wants me to give it all to Him finally and leave it for good. Your prayer was the perfect example for me and model for my healing. I’m going to watch again and take notes. You both shared so many truths and I want to write them down so that when I’m triggered or discouraged I can remind myself and really love that little girl. I can’t thank you enough and I can’t thank Jesus enough.

EVERY SINGLE TIME. Every time I run across Sr. Miriam, I just sit and ugly cry. She is so lovely. I even work alone as an artist and farmer (in part due to my lifelong belief that I am too difficult to work with people). I am still in love with my Catholic faith, but without any credit to the sisters that taught at my very liberal catholic school in the 1970’s (you can imagine). They had abandoned their habits and were simply angry remainders of Vatican II’s groovification of the 1970’s in pastel polyester pantsuits. I knew I was ugly and smelly and difficult and contrary and I didn’t know who to ask or where to go with it. Those sisters seemed only compounded it-often brutally. So, I ugly cry, and even in my solitude, I look over my shoulder and am ashamed of my red face. So thank you for having this intuitive, empathic heart in her plain habit that declares who she serves loud and clear.

Absolutely LOVED this entire interview. It was also refreshing to see Matt Fradd showing vulnerability here 💛 He's always pretty great in his videos / podcast, it's just that this time, Sr. Miriam somehow effortlessly managed to create a safe space for him to just be. I don't think I've ever seen him this tender and being able to witness that was such a delight. It actually felt less like an interview and more like an honest conversation between two holy friends. At one point Sr. Miriam talked about the priest who evangelized her and how much he exuded Christ's love. I can honestly say the absolute same about her. She glows so differently and radiates in such a holy way that you just know that Christ is alive and real in her heart. Thank you to the both of you for baring your souls and for allowing the Holy Spirit to be at work. Thank you both for the gift of who you are. Absolutely recommend this Abiding Together x Pints with Aquinas crossover 😌💯 God bless and I hope you reach more people!

She’s got it! As a specialist as sexual abuse trauma therapist for over 35 years True healing is incorporating the spiritual and psychological brings true healing. It is an eclectic approach. Most don’t understand about getting to the root. Most address secondary pain instead of primary or original pain. Sexual abuse is called soul murder. People seldom recognize the huge tentacles of abuse has on a victim. She started drinking after the abuse. He was sexually abused also. The bottom line of all sexual abuse and the hardest to reach in the core is self hatred. Thank you Sister, you say exactly what the Holy Spirit showed me about forgiveness. I have never heard anyone else say forgiveness is a process. Also, as victim never confronts a perpetrator. And forgiveness is very different than reconciliation. Two different processes. A perpetrator should be reported and arrested. If a family member family of Victim needs to cutoff perpetrator. Many people though have repressed dissociated memories. That’s the hardest to have huge symptoms but the victim doesn’t know why. God is so faithful. He is waiting with bated breath of Holy Spirit to invite him into the dark walled off chambers of pain. He is the healer.

Dear Matt, can you please make a 'short' of Sr. Miriam's prayer of healing. It's so moving and I find myself coming back to it again and again. Thank you both and God's blessings.

Love Sister Miriam Heidland, she is so spontaneous and her witness touches each of our own hearts and how to recognise trauma moments and heal with the help of God. Thank you Matt!

This interview punched me in the heart. She described trauma so well and even though my pain is different than hers, I felt like she was literally inside my heart and knew how I felt. It’s the best interview you’ve done Matt. Sr. Miriam is so real, so incredibly tender and always has the perfect words. She is such an incredible gift from God. I love her with my entire broken heart. God bless you both and our Blessed Mother always cover you with her mantle. 🙏🏼
