the memories that hurt me are the good memories. it’s not remembering the end. it’s remembering the beginning and the middle and i feel my mind tearing these memories to ribbons as time marches on as defense. someone didn’t hurt me. I hurt someone. i deserve to forgive myself now

That's upto them, not you. Your job is to apologise and make amends. You don't act like the victim when you are the offender. If you don't like that behaviour you work on yourself, to be the person you want to be if you want that all to pass.

@@jakea3950 there are no amends to be made. they stated i am forgiven but now i am no longer a thought in their mind. i have been learning and growing for 11 months despite this but am still motivated by intense feelings of regret and self loathing. knowledge and growth is one thing but moving on is an entirely different thing. i am better than i was but i won’t forgive myself for what i’ve done

Well if you are forgiven you are forgiven. If tou are not satisfied you make amends. I'd do the opposite to other people then once you believe you've changed your guilt will resolve. The second challenge sounds like they have let go but you have not. Forget what they are doing and focus on the new. It's OK to start new chapters. Life is a vacuum just different faces ready for you to practice who you want to be. Trust me when I say everything will work out.
