This was a very good summary. The only essential and tragic detail missing is that the Cesar brothers were not Boers - they were "free Blacks" as it was called during the Cape slavery era back then. But they looked white and this is why when Hendrik arrived in England, his ethnicity was never questioned and he was treated like a white man.

If you look at history fashion of 1328s to 1708s + etc. That fashion called mantua with the bustle as well and was not inspired by what happened in 1800s. So it very hard to say if all bustle fashion in 1800's were inspired by Sarah body shape and other peoples shape. etc. or it's a coincidence that the bustle fashion came back in time matching with timeline what happening to Sarah or if could be fashion did came back from past and at same time with Sarah influence during that time period made fashion no longer the same intention as it used to be in very distant past. We have to be very careful at what year which fashion and time period was indeed was unjust-fully used while at same time making fun of the other for their natural beauty while imitating them.

@@mr.5.071 That's not true at all. Blacks and Indigenous people got together all the time back then because of slavery. My daughter is half African and even has indigenous American in her from her Dad. And she did come from slaves. "In shared slavery, enslaved Africans and enslaved Native Americans intermarried with one another. Because their marriages were usually not considered legitimate by law, their children were slaves like their parents and considered illegitimate. Among the Cherokees, Choctaws, Chickasaws, Creeks, and Seminoles, et al., Africans were enslaved by Native Americans. Children of enslaved African women and Native American slave owners were also considered illegitimate."

😞 All I can say is what they did to this woman is sick. The level of evil that permeated that time is horrible. But I believe her death was the Lord our creator saw her suffering and removed her from it. I read some time ago that she had a child from sexual abuse. A boy. But she loved him and did her best until they stopped paying her. Then in her struggle the little boy got sick and died because of no medical care. She is at peace now. No more suffering.

This is the worst & most heart-breaking story I have ever heard about the slavery of a woman. Rest in Peace & may our Lord bless you & be with you Ms. Sarah Baartman. Your story will never be taught in History class but your story is right here & will be told, remembered & will go down in history regardless of anyone trying to stifle your truth.

Also the dresses 👗 with the Circular round shape on the buttocks area that we see on representations/movies from the 19th century were heavily influenced by Sarah Bartman’s figure. That’s how impactful she became. She single handedly changed the perception of aesthetics for the woman. They all wanted to have/ or appear to have “meat” on their behinds. With medecine evolving it’s now possible with the democratization of BBLs.
