These reunions between fathers and their children brought tears to my eyes. While these separations must have been very difficult, I imagine that they also strengthened the bonds between them. It goes back to the old saying that "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." I think these strengthened bonds must have been a nice reward to these families for the sacrifices they endured by being separated this way. Of couse we must thank these men and women for making these sacrifices in order to serve their country.

@wigra9359 try a year then home 6 months then gone a year then back home 5 months then gone 9months for your whole childhood while moving from military bases every 3 to 4 years leaving all of your fiends and classmates sometimes going to 2 or different schools in one year May everyone understand what us children go thru who are military dependents. I am 60 years old and when I see a military man or Woman I thank them for their service and tell them that I am a military dependent they all say No thank you for your service 🙏.
