Good match man. You've done more than a lot of people by just stepping out on the competition mat. Congratulations

if the bottom guy wasnt so out of shape he could used his legs in deep half to get some momentum going for a sweep, the top player was extremely slow to pommel is nearside leg back to the hips. also, there was barely any snaps or takedown attempts, both people were just trying to get the same underhooks which didnt result in shit, you gotta be snapping, pushing, getting angles, snatching legs, faking, etc, but these guys were so out of shape they couldnt implement anything.
@KeysmilesBJJ7 күн бұрын
You’re right about one thing we are out of shape
@ericjohnson48773 сағат бұрын
It's hard to do all that shit when you're that size unless underneath it all your super strong, otherwise it's like wearing a sumosuit that you also have to pump blood through, so it zaps your cardio even more. It might be hard to tell but those big fellas are working hard out there

@@ericjohnson4877 thanks for the perspective. And you are right !

hot take but i think BJJ gets more entertaining the smaller the weight class AND the lower the skill level. there's nothing like watching 2 100-pound white belts go full deathmatch on each other.

Not a hot take at all 😂 you’re absolutely right

Been training for a number of years, but I don't know how I could do much against either of these guys. Too much size for my little old self. Great match though, way to stay heavy once you had your opponent down, good pressure.
@KeysmilesBJJ2 күн бұрын
Thank you this was a lot of way to move around, and I knew if I ended up on bottom that it would be hell to get out. So I have a slow play pick my shot and capitalize and I feel like I did that. I really appreciate the compliment.

5+ mins of slow dancing, followed by some of the worst technique I have ever seen. I dont even want to say what they did was technique, it's just bad-all bad. I leave on a positive note. Start training and you'll lose weight, focus on learning, and drill. Good luck!
@KeysmilesBJJ7 күн бұрын
It’s tough to move around that amount of weight it’s also tough to get into mount and settle because of how big he is. Outside of the failed arm bar with 7 secs left the ground work wasn’t that bad. With that being said I hope your jiujitsu is good enough to back up a comment like this 🤣

@@KeysmilesBJJBro wanted you to do a flying arm from standing, then transition to a triangle and then a omoplata😂😂😂. Good role🫡
@KeysmilesBJJ7 күн бұрын
Exactly…. And all of that on a 400 pound man with the risk of being underneath him yeah get the fuck out of here. You find yourself on bottom under that guy it’s over and I’m talking about life.

@@KeysmilesBJJevery opponent is different you did the right thing keeping up the fight on your feet as long as possible, tire him up, wait for the moment to win, all these morons do not understand strategy they all think they know but their comments are as dumb as probably their grappling is.
@ATMR342 күн бұрын
@@KeysmilesBJJmost of these ppl that critique dont roll with heavy opponents and dont know the hardship heavy guys me included, no so heavy but 40 over, and its hard for me to to mess up with heavier opponents the moment one mess up, you have to fight his weight XD
