As part of UASHLC, Animal Dynamics marinised the Stork STM by integrating secure satellite communications (SATCOM) that demonstrates the vehicle can be operated anywhere in the world. The Stork STM was also fitted with a sonobuoy dispenser - showcasing that the UAV’s payload space can be used for a number of mission types - as well as go through additional wing development work that includes a retraction capability making it safe for deck operations. So this is really just an remote control paramotor? I wonder if these guys actually fly a paramotor! There are a LOT of weather-related limitations to this type of UAV that would prevent it from being successfully operated in a lot of conditions... then again, this might fly in more crazy conditions because the loss of the payload and comfort of the ride is less of a concern!
