I'm so glad to see the focus that Michael Dunlop is recieving, for showing us all what we men can go through, and _survive_ these insurmountable hardships. As a man, I admire him beyond measure. He is a great teacher, without even trying to be, and as someone who is battling mountains of grief, its good to see that we can get through this, and continue to live as our departed loved ones would wish for us. Basically, it's great to see other men openly acknowledging Michael's grief and struggles, and supporting him is priceless to see. We don't have to suffer in silence any more. That's a priceless message to spread.

I've been following motorcycle racing for all 38 years of my life.. And I kind of know how Micheal feels, as I lost my Dad to racing, when I was 11 years old, while he was racing at olivers mount.... and as hard as it is to watch videos like this, and all the sadness I have felt over there last 27 years, missing my dad everyday, I still cannot pull myself away from the sport that I have been obsessed with all my life.. its tough, but we love it.. And I know if Joey and Robert, and William were still alive today, they would be cheering MD on for them extra wins... "Go-on lad" they would be saying as they watched him fly by.... I know one thing is for certain, that if he does beat Joeys Record. In my eyes he will be the Greatest of all time, and thats even after spending the last 20 years saying that Rossi is the greatest... I think MD deserves that honour, if he beats Joeys record. Respect, and I cannot wait for this year's races. ✊️😁

There are those who ride and then there are those who live to ride. At 18 car nearly cost me a right leg, many operations 2 yrs laid up but weeks after castvwas removed, I rode again. 61 and it is still a passion. I get I it. Nothing but death can stop some of us from riding. I get your passion, most do not and call us crazy. But to give up on your passion would be crazy.

I went for the first time aged 61, in 2015. Met John and Bruce and all the other big names. Balls of steel each and every one of them. To stand at Kirkmichael with the lads going through that left-handed kink at 170+mph, sucking the air from the space behind them only metres away, is the most viscerally authentic experience I have ever had at a motor sport event. To do what they do, their lives on a knife edge travelling the length of 4 cricket pitches every second, is beyond description.

People need to stop talking as though MD breaking through the wins is a done deal. Nothing is a done deal at the TT. Lots of things can go wrong to stop riders getting a win. Sometimes the worse thing can happen. And MD can well do without the pressure of expectation. Let's just enjoy it for what it is and if it happens, it happens. If someone else wins, they deserve it.

Joey is the GOAT (greatest of all time), Michael is the BOAT (the best of all time), and John is the King of the Mountain Course. That’s my breakdown. To me, I cannot fathom anyone else having the staying power that McGuinness possesses. To be in his fifties and put down lap times competitive with the top guys is something unfathomable.

So who's here after the 2024 TT, since Davey got his first win and a senior win, Hickman equalling Hailwood's 14 wins and of course Michael setting a new record even with helmetgate costing him time and the win and of course not only matching Joey but taking over as the all-time king of the mountain by raising the bar to 29 wins? If Michael can keep winning at this same rate, he could potentially be looking at easily high 30s to mid 40s, maybe even higher. 🤯
@justonsullivan38077 ай бұрын
For John 2 win again he is going 2 have 2 be willing to put it all on the line, the times that the front runners are putting down in today TT's is crazy fast. And I'm just not sure he is willing 2 do that in this stage of his career. I would luv 2c him win it again, that would be Legend on top of him already being a Legend. My main thought is that all riders go home safe and healthy to there families. Lots of luv from the States. 👍🇺🇸🗽🇬🇧👍
