I was installing the boom on my 580N raw the other night and had a hell of a time with that rubber grommet in the rear boom mount. Man, I hate it. The I watched your video how you did it. You're the man! I guess I suck!!

@@westhobbiesrc8051 I never crashed it, and I balanced the main blades. But I kinda recall putting stress on the belt when tightening down the grub screw on the tail shaft. Unevenly elongated belt because of that?

I have only built 1, my first build ever. I've yet to fly it. But it was a great experience. Got the swash plate super level and blade tracking seems to be right on point (based on the digital meter anyway). My main issue with it was placing my RX8R pro receiver (chunky boi) in it. I managed but not too happy with the antenna placements (bottom of the heli on the sides of the carbon) since they're way too short. Might add a XM+ satellite on top for safety/redundancy. Your build video was super helpful. Tried recreating the West Hobbies RC wiring as much as I could :D Thanks!

That’s awesome! I’m glad the Bill videos were helpful and you were able to build your model successfully. Some receivers are just ridiculously short and make it extremely difficult for placements. Let me know how it flies!

The space to place the FBL controller and the RX is small. I use a Brain2 and a Jeti REX6. I have created a plate that can be tie wrapped above the FBL. The antenna mast provided in the kit can be used. For those who can print the model is available on Thingiverse. SAB RAW 420 RX plate.

The NX series is not bad but I think they are over priced and don’t feel the best in your hands. But! They work flawlessly and never had a issue with my NX8.

Speed cup went very well! The comet did great couldn’t ask for better runs. Unfortunately, there was no official timers at the event for some reason, and was not able to set your official record that I was going for but I overall I am very happy. I have been thinking about it! I just got invited there today by somebody else as well.
