Iv been trying to find out more too. I'm leaning towards shameless rip off too but really like to find out more, it's almost a cover, I like it, not sure if I like it more than Blinker the Star, is blinker the stars version a cover of older song. To many questions finding this has raised , not enough answers....

@@nikolauswalls4528 It's possible it's something from the 70s I guess. I wish I had my copy of BtS's August Everywhere but it's boxed up in the attic with 5,000 other CDs I put up there when I switched all my listening to Spotify. This part from the video description: " ‘Tony…’ is one of the songs found on a mini disc that had been saved from the wreckage of the car accident that put band leader Billy Reeves into a coma in September 2001, songs he had forgotten - due to crash-related amnesia. " Hmm. Did Billy also forget that he didn't write this? Or was this some collaboration between Bill and Jordan Z of BtS? I guess we'll never know.
