Some say a zenit is the thing attached to the Helios Lens. The lens might be cool, but the camera deserves some attention too

Never have I ever seen a Zenith strap! :D I think that piece there increases the value of the camera twofold! It's impressive how far they went with that mechanism. They kept slapping the same old engine in a new body every few years with small cosmetic changes and called it a day

Are we talking about the cars or the cameras lol

@@MrAnalogDan12 well, a 1987 Lada Niva wasn't so much different than a 2005 Lada Niva, so it's applicable for cars too :))

I own the later 92 model year, which has different knobs and ISO presets, with the later Helios MC 44M-5 F/2.0, overall it's fine, it's quite impressive your LED's are working, as for me only the lower one works. This camera is an absolute tank, apart from the electronics which are ironically very simple...

Not that simple, they use a chip (I looked online, the chip is a LED driver) making this Zenit a more advanced camera than my... Nikkormat !

I have Helios44-3. Retro Foto house sells Helios. Mine is modified for Nikon F mount and will focus to infinity on Nikon DSLR. Very interesting lens in some situations. Like the classic Zeiss Biotar, which this ancient lens copies.
