Wade Conroy ok didn’t know about that relating to XY but in my opinion unless that away dad has some impact on a character over the course of the story or if he’s mentioned more than just the one dialogue chain then they ain’t that involved. It’s like sure Izuku Midoriya has a biological father, he’s referenced once or twice in the entire plot thus far, never bloody see him, but do we really see Hisashi Midoriya as Izuku’s dad? Frankly we probably see the relationship between Izuku and All Might as a father and son because he’s actually *there* helping Izuku with his quirk, goals, and life advice.

To be fair, being a pokemon must be pretty cool in its own right. I'd be stoked to have the power to create dark orbs, conjure spirit flames, float, be able to use actual hypnotism, conjure rain at will, etc. And that's not including the ability to maybe achieve a more powerful form that has multiple arms!
