Seems to me the one chick that stayed with mama hen was doing it to keep her company....so she would have at least one chick to stay with her while the other babies stayed with the cat. It was more out of loyalty than anything. But then I might be just projecting my human self onto everything.

Los leones eliminan a las crías de el león anterior cuando hay cambio de macho dominante. Cuando me fui a vivir con mi novia que es divorciada le dije que su hijo tenía que irse con su papá de inmediato y que no los quería a ninguno de los dos cerca de nuestra casa. Yo fui más compasivo y las cosas terminaron bien, ella se ve mucho más joven y feliz ahora.
