Hey Marty - the G is a b7 chord borrowed from A mixo - a back door to tonic A maj. Often played G G# A. The course sounds great.

MARTY, The Hendrix Sus2 chords he will use Major Pentatonic or a Hendrix Hybrid Major Pentatonic. For the Hendrix 1st inversion chords he uses minor pentatonic box#3 with a Hendrix Hybrid Major pentatonic. You should do a YT lesson about this. Hendrix does add in the M2 and M6 with the minor pentatonic which is a Hendrix Hybrid Major pentatonic + minor pentatonic
