Gene is correct. I was working a kiss show in the 90's. Don't remember the tour and Gene was on the dock at 8 am when the trucks started dumping just watching the entire process from the truck to the stage. He was there for at least 5 or 6 hrs watching the show go up. then he disappeared until show time. He was not watching it load out after the show. Yep, he was right there with us on the loading dock. Watching what he is paying for.

Gene Simmons isnt as Fascinating as he thinks he is. He's actually quite shallow. I respect his business prowess and a lot of his parenting, but he's too vain. Now Henry IS FASCINATING. He's got layers, depth, and soul. I find his stories and experiences and ideas Fascinating. But that's just my opinion. To each his own.

All true! Except Dio and Rob, and Tim Ripper never changed a dime for a picture, or autograph! They spoke to you as you were the only person in the room! They all flat out told me it's a money grab! We would never charge you for an autograph or picture....you the fans put us here! I love kiss, they are tattooed on my body...but, I'd never pay $1500 for a ticket and signature

4:57 What Gene says about parenting is very true. Permissive, liberal, and/or neglectful parenting is all too common now. smh…. Kids who don’t get disciplined when they misbehave grow up to cause problems for everyone else in the world. I’m glad my parents were caring loving people, but were also strict when they had to be. It saved me from going down a bad path in life.

Project much, Gene? I can assure you, that you and I have little in common. Unlike you, I do not experience envy and jealousy. And yes, I don't have much money. What's that old saying? The love of money is the root of all evil? Yes, love. People are perfectly capable of criminal behavior with, or without, money. So I suppose the argument to be had is, does criminal behavior equate to evil? If I were to venture a guess, I'd say no. Evil is more about the motivation behind, and the pleasure of, doing wrong to others. And just to be rude, and get in a jab, your music sucks, and your fans lack taste.

Glad there's a lot more to music and life than Simmons and his opinions. He may be entertaining sometimes, but mostly he's like the aftermath of stepping in dog shit
@RockLibertyWarrior5 ай бұрын
Problem is, downloading and streaming is the future and Gene is short sighted to no realize it. Lets say Gene got his way and the record industry started to sue every person it still wouldn't have mattered. The internet came into existence and everything changed, the record companies would have died of 1000 paper cuts trying to sue everybody. I don't like Gene and I don't like his schtick, but I do like Kiss, they put out a lot of good music.
@jonathansteadman79354 ай бұрын
He's talking in 2007, so from that perspective he's correct. That's how a lot of people saw it back then. Music is poorer for it, the last 15 years we've had nothing outstanding. Corporate RnB pop.
@kittavares43343 ай бұрын
@@jonathansteadman7935 There's still great music being made, but without the corporate structure to curate/produce/promote these smaller acts, yeah, you can feel the difference.
@keithmccormack7389Ай бұрын
It's also the fact that there is no longer such a thing as a "platinum selling artist". Streaming is fine. We all do it now but the artists suffer. Look on KZbin for Snoop Doggs interview on the topic. Very insightful. Only way a band (an established one anyway) survives is tour revenue and merch. They're not going to put out new music as much because the cost has to be recouped from the tour. It's a horrible cycle for real musicians and it's murder for newer acts.

Supposedly Gene and Paul discovered Angel
@disseminationnetwork5 ай бұрын
I think they initially funded and produced Angel, but they never took off. I think Paul also produced the band New England who had the brief hit "Don't Ever Wanna Lose Ya" and then disappeared. Angel just never had the hit, although Giuffria, later did with "Call to the Heart". The hit Angel never had.
@stealingtomorrowband5 ай бұрын
Angel never took off because of Punky turning down playing in Kiss, and their career stopped moving forward from there
@jesuscampos81365 ай бұрын
@@stealingtomorrowband punky would've been to good for kiss. I don't think Gene or Paul would be happy because he's way more talented than them. Kinda like Vinnie Vincent. You have to be like a Tommy Thayer that does everything he's told to do.

@kittavares433410 ай бұрын
Do you think it's a schtick? Interesting. I never listened to Kiss, besides the hits, partly because of his greedy a--hole persona.
@ultralance9 ай бұрын
The one thing I find genuinely admirable about Gene is that he's very honest and straightforward. He can definitely be an a-hole at times , but he'll be that same a-hole to your face and not hide behind a nice guy facade. If you think Gene is bad, go listen to some of Paul's autobiography - it's basically hours of him saying "Everyone sucks but me."

it's always scary when gene goes to touch his hair LOL.. Gene telling Henry, the guy who probably owns a closet full of $6 black Tshirts 'you can never have enough money'. RAPPERS are garbage 90% of them are, I've seen rockstars on cribs, PPL THAT LIKE ROCK ARE SMARTER THAN PPL who like rap, we get tired after seeing the 4th rockstars giant house and the way they waste money. PPL love rap are shallow and only about money and the cars they drive in the videos that they DON'T own, they usually rent it from some rich old white man who owns a building full of them. Dont kid yourself, #genesimmons is full of shit. the 'mainstream' is what has abandoned rock for the garbage!
