Very nice ! I already have a .410 ( Remington Wingmaster) so I can’t justify having another .410 , however the other X-models in Pistol cartridges have caught my attention. I would like to see some other options for the X-Model though . Should I write Anthony Imperato to hear my requests ?

When will they put the side loading gate in the standard wood models?

Found one today, Brass model w/side loading gate. Beautiful, love it, so hard to find anything these days, got lucky, was covered up (sock over Brass), but saw the engraving on the stock & forearm. Love me some Henry’s, especially side loaders, my second one, got the 30-30 when they first came out. Wish they’d start making them in pistol calibers (44, 45 & 38/357). 👍🏼❤️🇺🇸🤠

Why doesn’t Henry thread all their .410s for chokes? I got the 20” models and set it up to shoot slugs. Would love to be able to tighten my pattern by using a modified or IC choke

I recently shot a 20 guage (not a Henry) at a range. I was under the impression the recoil of a 20 guage was less than a 12 guage. There was in fact a ton of recoil which was very unpleasant. Is this a softer and easy shooting shotgun?

Love Henry's, Got a Henry 22LR/22L/22S railroad commemorative rifle, because I'm a railfan for plinking and shooting fun at a range. Then I got a 410 shotgun as an all round general purpose gun . I am waiting to receive my Henry AR7 for a home defense and survival gun. Add a 22 LR semiautomatic handgun and I'll have all the guns I'll need. Unfortunately Henry doesn't make handguns.

Has any manufacture ever released a 12 gauge lever gun?

Yes as far back as the late 1890's. Black aces tactical has one now but I've heard its iffy.

Winchester had the 1887 (Chiappa has a reproduction), but that's the only one I know of. The Black Aces is basically just a pump-action where the rods connecting to the bolt from the front are swapped with a rod connecting from the back.

We have lots of Adler and Pardus lever 12g in Australia. Around $800 aus so around $450 in USD. Average quality but what you pay for.

If Henry is going to make a gun in a round nearly impossible to find, then they should make some effort to produce the ammo necessary to operate the device they manufacture. Otherwise, they’re in the business of producing wall hangers.

The standard carbine model with iron sights is far more practical. Very accurate slug gun especially with a Skinner aperture sight.

Curious how only recently has Henry started to mention personal defense as a potential use for their guns. Of course, there are dozens of better options than this gun. Like ammo availability and cost….410 is nearly impossible to find

I am getting worried about the quality. I have a 30-30 that had problems out of the box. It has been back two times to the factory. When I got it back the last time I did get it sighted in but the front sight was so for to the right the back sights were way out of whack. They told me both times it had been tested and shot. There is no way with the sights and screws missing that it was ever shot. I am very disappointed in the quality. I think you guys went to big to fast. And the name on this post is correct you can look up the return record of my rifle. Just say I wish I would have got a better product.

thats what they told my friend when he had issues with his henry, hand selected and test fired and on the first day out(this is after sending the gun back and them sending back a new gun, which they said was test fired with multiple ammo) that a shell was pinned in so tight the whole gun was locked. we had to very dangerously force the shell out, i was prepared for my friends hand to be exploded off and have to rush him to the hospital. my faith in henry has been shakin and this is from someone who owns multiple henrys, so i agree with you something went wrong with them and the quality is gone

i have gone out shooting two different Henry 410s and both times they had different but severe problems that have completely turned me off of this company. will not be buying a Henry anytime in the future

If a 410 isn't deadly then we shouldn't have any trouble finding volunteers to test that theory. Who wants shot with (any) 410 round at let's say 10yrds? Not me!!
