you're one of the few people who keep it real on Russ, I respect you for that. Dude might be the most hated and under appreciated HOF QB of all-time.

Justin was 4-2 when he started for the Steelers…he wasn’t outstanding but the jury was out on Russell Wilson…good, experienced but at this point of his career the ceiling was low. Justin fields has potential but as a Bears fan I was done hoping for franchise caliper play
@jasonmiradoli890019 сағат бұрын
Agreed. Too much value is given to “potential” in a world in which rookie and 2-yr qbs are winning and stretching the field.

What is he talking about. Tomlin was the lone ranger in the qb decision
@papertags20 сағат бұрын
It was the right decision unless you wanted to miss the playoffs and get a higher draft pick
@RickyAceRozay19 сағат бұрын
@@papertagsit was the safe choice
@papertags19 сағат бұрын
@RickyAceRozay neither one of those guys are safe choices at this point. Fields hadn't grown as much as he should've for as long as he's been in the league. Malik Willis has made a bigger leap than Fields has in less time and i thought he was 🗑. If I was Pittsburgh I'd let Russ go and try to get Mariota or Zack Wilson and have a real QB competition.
@RickyAceRozay19 сағат бұрын
@ Malik Willis has great coaching and literally is asked to use his legs a lot like Jalen hurts . Steelers even when they had justin in the game won’t let him use his legs , Malik on the Steelers is cut already

The Steelers will sign the one that costs less. They don't really care about offense.

Wilson needs to retire. He absolutely sucks!

This year the Steelers won’t have much options at the quarterback position, so rocking with fields for 1 season is fine. Focus on getting play makers on the offense for your current or future quarterback , if fields doesn’t work out you draft a quarterback next year or make a big time trade for one. And whoever that is will have a good team around them regardless

Get an OC who will run an offense that doesn’t look like it’s for a Jr High team

I don’t know why Steelers couldn’t or wouldn’t take a swing on a possible trade with Detroit for Hendon Hooker or maybe a draft Jaxson Dart in the second round. And bring back Mason Rudolph as a safety value until if someone like a Hooker or Dart doesn’t pan out.

I’m a long time Steelers fan and I agree , it’s hard for me to be confident in Fields… I’d rather take a chance on Russell for 2 more years but both Qbs need some weapons.. add a WR and OL in FA… I wouldn’t mind seeing a trade for Derik Carr and add these weapons..
@JWLSports32 минут бұрын
Derek Carr is actually interesting! Steelers need to start prioritizing their offense for sure.

Mason could have done the same thing if not better

lol Smith was apparently a good enough OC before that it got him a hc gig. Fields was running the offense that was made for Wilson stop misleading people please. Fields was sat because of tomlins ego he even said he was the lone ranger in choosing to go to Wilson. again please include all the information.

IDC whoo we keep, either one is not a long term solution. need to draft a QB.... Howard,McCord or Shough..

I disagree with this on a couple fronts. First, you kinda talk about Justin as a total scrub who had an unsuccessful season, or at least that's the impression I got from everything you said. Justin actually had some really good moments this season and showed serious signs of progress. You could argue he was hitting his stride, and it would have been very interesting to see where it went had he remained the starter, but Tomlin was very set on giving Russ the ball. But the part I disagree with more is you claiming that there would have been this groundswell of "let's start Fields" if he was doing really well in practice lol. That's ridiculous. Backup QB's don't get serious looks and opportunities to take over a starting role when they're running scout team offense. I think that's a little bit of a ridiculous claim, you said if he was doing well enough in practice there would have been a push to start him. I just don't agree with that at all. I think Tomlin was committed to Russ, and it had gone well enough with Russ for long enough that Tomlin thought it would be better to just try to right the ship on the fly than to go back to the beginning again with Fields for the last week or 2 of the season. That said, does Fields have problems? Absolutely
@ManuelKimbrell18 сағат бұрын
Fields may have problems but Russ is a problem as we all saw with his egotistical drama queen BS glad he's he is gone

The biggest issue I see with the Steelers offense is lack of explosive weapons outside of Pickens. Draft a young RB in the draft who's capable of taking it the distance, draft a WR early, and sign a productive veteran like a Tee Higgins or even a Cooper Kupp and the offense looks much better. Because if they don't upgrade these other positions significantly, it's not going to matter what they decide to do @ QB next year.

100% stick with Russ!! He did great and when they played against the better team, the online was exposed, GP was out for a few games and they had 0 qb1 or 2, need an elite running back defense dropped from #3 in the league to #28... fill in the missing pieces and they can compete.... those other teams are stacked- the Steelers aren't!!( also better coaching!!) #3🖤💛🖤💛
