Paranoid is so funny to me... I think I just realized that yes he is incredibly helpful since he's always keeping an eye over his shoulder in a terrifying world, but thanks to the nature of the game, he's actually the one making the world so terrifying by looking over his shoulder in the first place. The only thing stopping him was the skeptic so he had to come up with the escuse that the chains were rusted
