Underrated discussed jank: Etho described his style as like “eating at the dinner table”, meaning his arms are facing inward. Keralis was brought purely for being left handed, meaning Etho is likely not. So for Etho to say “moving the mouse right makes me look up” means 1 of 2 things 1. Etho plays with inverted Y 2. Etho took that long to remember left and right and still got it wrong.

That’s honestly true of all of these, save Mumbo’s. I thought Etho’s was weird until he shared a picture of his desk setup and I realized “oh wait, that actually isn’t too bad” And Cleo’s makes a lot of sense when you look at it not from the pov of a professional esports player but a person who plays casually and just wants to be comfortable. Mumbo’s is the only one where the only rational explanation I can come to is “he’s just strange.” Like, that cannot be ergonomic.

this whole thing is fantastic but my absolute favorite part is the objects thrown at Mumbo. Grian throws a cod. Cleo throws a cup from her cat cafe. Gem throws her snail. Ren, after suggesting that Mumbo should be killed with fire, throws a torch. AND Etho is getting ready to throw a frog. those are such fun little references!

Ren's set up actually makes the most sense, or at least there's a practical reason to use it over standard ways. If you prefer having your hand a bit more spread out rather than three fingers clustered at wasd or if you need more keys easily reachable in a hurry, it gives all the same keys you can normally hit with wasd, but having a finger at f adds t g and v.

Ren drawing a map in a way that makes his controls seem so much more convoluted than they are was great. I absolutely love all the tiny little details that match everyone’s character so well! Grain knocking over the stand and then quickly having to put it back up like nothing happened! Cleo not having a hand for some reason. Constantly going back to Ren. Echo using a slide show projector!!!! Gem and her snail. Joe as an actual puppet and everyone just being okay with that. This is the most perfect animatic. I think I said basically the same thing when you posted the Grian snippet so long ago, but the expressions and character designs are just indescribably wonderful. I also love how Etho used the old school projector and how Joe is *wearing* a puppet costume and controlling his puppet hands with puppet sticks. This is fantastic and I’m sending it to every other fan I know.

Joe Hill's character design and animation is my favorite. You had such a great idea on how to make him fit in while also being a puppet and I love it. The real arms controlling the fake arms are just the cherry on top.

Etho pulling out an overhead projector is EVERYTHING! It's the perfect silly little out of date thing he would do, and also involves MORE work than just having a slideshow considering you'd have to print the images out on plastic sheets. Also love his design!

How have I only just noticed that each presentation style is tailored to each Hermit? Grian has the Third Life hearts as dot points, Mumbo's slides are similar in style to his chapter cards, Etho uses a taped sign and an overhead projector instead of digital slides, and ZombieCleo is the only one with a light-on-dark presentation style (cuz zombies n spooky aesthetic).

I love the way you’ve designed the characters. They look so huggable and friendly, and their face/body language are really fun. Like Grian kinda cowering at 0:43, before pulling at his neck and sweating, because he knows he’s about to be laughed at. I love the little moments in this animatic that establish the characters - Grian knocking over the podium, Etho checking queue cards, Ren's giant paper stack, everyone nudging and leaning, it's all great! I also really like the tech style shown, with the older projector and cameras, rather than all screens or a straight adaptation of blocky redstone but realistic(ish) figures, it really gives things a vibe of being hand-built and lived in

I came into this for the "Thank you for the invite to this freak show, I am just left handed" and let me say it did NOT disappoint Also I LOVE Impulse drumming on his thigh at 1:13 . speaking as a percussionist myself that's about the most accurate way you could have animated it. you drum on your thigh or something other than your drum because drums have one volume setting: Too Loud.

The expressions are just amazing. Gem's indignant face when Etho casually roasts her, Grian absolutely losing it multiple times, Ren's slow descent into madness, etc. Top quality stuff.

2:50 I love how all the hermits start throwing things like people throw rotten fruit and bad acts, and Etho tossing the frog in his hand always makes me snicker Also Ren with his huge stack of papers that was hilarious XD Love your animation style dude, it captures the hermits characters so well (Im also a fan of the way you drew Ethos hair and the way Joe is piloting his puppet), made this little bit even funnier! :)

i love this so much. grian knocking the lecturn over. people throwing stuff at mumbo. keralis stepping over the snail. ren cut into separate scenes. it's genuinely so good. also i would never hear grian's "it's a crime to use a sofa as a seat" if it wasn't written in text here, i loved it. great job

LOVE your character designs oh my god?????? the amount of detail and care youve put into the specific set ups of how everything works, the little character interactions that youve added, false (doing what ive interpreted as) MOVING cleo on the board when they're up on stage explaining how her back is totally okay, the REN BIT where everything is marked out in orange marker and then Q is just labelled "normal", MUMBO'S PRESENTATION HAVING HIS TRANSITION BACKGROUNDS???????? glorious. Marvelous. this is jampacked with extra fun little tidbits and easter eggs and it is fantastic and i hope you know that :D

HELLO OH MY GOD THIS IS. the coolest most ridiculous perfect Joe Hills / juppet design I have ever seen. It's a puppet! It's got the stupid flappy mouth!! And it's AT PLAYER SCALE!! This is ludicrous and I'm obsessed with it. Thank you for the masterpiece.
