I was thinking the exact same thing before Sheikh mentioned it; The Sahabah themselves even had political tensions and went into civil war, so who's to say that these men can't either. Nonetheless, may Allah grant them both Jannah and once they meet there, they will have no ill feelings towards each other. As the Quran mentions: وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِى صُدُورِهِم مِّنْ غِلٍّ إِخْوَٰنًا عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍۢ مُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ "And we shall remove from their chests (hearts) any resentment (towards each other); they will be brothers on thrones facing each other in joy" Surah 15 Ayah 47

I have deep respect for Dr. Yasir Qadhi. May Allah bless him, protect him from all evil, grant him success to be one of the best scholars of our time. I want to offer a sincere thoughts on this particular subject. I would have not said anything if this was presented to a history class students. But to the regular believers who might not even know the basics of their deen, this kind of talk will only confuse them more. Also this could be used as an excuse card for dictators who shed blood of the innocents. Someone might use this info to justify whatever injustice a dictator does to his own people. May Allah guide us all. Also, it can also be used by politician to continue their sinister actions of lying, deception, cheating, etc. May Allah continue to bless Shaykh Yasir with good health, imaan, ikhlaas and husnul khaatima.

JazakAllah Khair Shaykh, I really appreciate what you're doing with these historical lectures! Being real and not bedazzled. It's so important and you're so right, people that live in glorified ideas and pasts only will not be able to do the ground work required in reality to unite the ummah. We need to understand what non-Muslims see when they see us, and for us to understand them we must know our own shortcomings. (this is the internal works for each Muslim). Reminds me of the hadith “The believer is a mirror to his faithful brother. He protects him against loss and defends him behind his back.” Source: al-Adab al-Mufrad 239, Grade: Hasan (fair) according to Al-Albani (got this from the internet, correct me if wrong please). I also really liked the point about overlooking a fellow Muslims fault to stay united. We don't ignore it, but we don't make it a reason to become divided. Keep a distance if necessary. Lots of valuable take-aways. JazakAllah Khair!! May Allah swt increase you in wisdom, sincerity and keep you steadfast, ameen

@shrinali25972 жыл бұрын
I have listened to countless of Sh. Yasir Qadhi's videos including 1914: "Shaping of the Modern Muslim world" he never mentions the Kurds at least to the few parts I watched, even though at some point one had to mention them but he still didn't. I know he is very detailed when it comes to who is who because his videos are very academic but even when it's necessary to name the Kurds, he will brush off. This video confirms it. I will share this video with the Kurdish historian Dr. Ferset Merei who is a great admirer of Salahaddin.

In order to liberate Palestine, the local tyrants ruling will need to be toppled like Assad, Sisi, etc. After all, how do you intend to liberate Palestine without manpower, territory and resources?
@FnD42122 жыл бұрын
But to be real though, some Muslims will be rejecting and backstab someone as caliber as Salahuddin Al Ayyubi is not far-fetched. Allah has tested Bani Israel by bringing the next chain of prophethood to someone outside of their circle. So what happens if al-Mahdi is not the person they expect Mahdi to be? I am sure Allah will test Muslims this just like Bani Israel has been tested, and somehow, the army of Muslims who attack al-Mahdi who take refuge in Kaaba makes sense.

@ayhayuba39692 жыл бұрын
The young mind needs to be firmly in reality. The Prophet SAW is our hero and role model. These great historical figures did many great things but they’re not without fault (major and minor). May Allah forgive us all.
@mohammedabdirrahmanrubblei91412 жыл бұрын
@@ayhayuba3969 I tried to look and read into those great figures of our past from a critical angle but didn't see the point. Of course we all know how fallible everyone is except the PPBUH... having said that, to look for the mistakes of Abu Hanifah, Ashafie Salhdeen and their likes should only be in the academic classrooms not in jumuah sermons and in open-end discussions.... I disagree with the method but as an idea we are all full of mistakes.

You don’t need to do the omlet. Allah will not punish anyone who will not make the omlet. It is all about the intention. If you do not intent to do wrong to achieve victory and thats ok but if you think I need to do wrong to achieve victory because thats how the world works, it is worth it, you got to break eggs, this logic is all from Seytan i think. Do what you can within the halal circle. “But but we can’t achieve greatness if we stay true” yes you can by the will of Allah
