Let's appreciate how Elam is not comic relief, nor childish, in this OVA. It took them two whole movies to do that.

27:10 I love that song... used to listen to it over and over back in high school. I think that was... 20 something years ago at this point. Thanks for posting this!

3:38 Lol, he doesn't give a f he got got caught. 🤣
To me it's a travesty with what they did to Gieve on the new version, I don't like the animation design either. He was my favorite character.

I agree😩 the old character designs are way better and more interesting. For all of them, but especially Gieve and Arslan in my opinion.

Was the second OVA removed because of the end credits song?

I wonder where they found the name arslan coz it is a turkish word means leon
@Ekraelum5 жыл бұрын
That's "aslan". Arslan itself is a name that is actually used in real life. Kinda uncommon and maybe ancient, but it is used. Some of the names of the series are actually based on historical figures. The prince of Lusitania is named Guiscard, possibly based on Robert Guiscard. Narsus' is based on Narseh, and at the same time is most likely a reference to Narcissus, AND before Arakawa took the project, his name was often written as Narcasse too. And Elam's is based around a city, AND in the Bible. It's pretty interesting

This story is actually based on a turkish legend of prince arsalan(his name is actually longer). Literally the story's about a prince journey to reclaim his kingdom like in the anime and the author of anime/LN kinda relate it with historical figures. So that's what I know..

@@redtea9940 It's not Turkish, it's Persian. And it's not a legend, it's an epic.

que diferente fue la salida de Guieve aquí, quien se retira por voluntad, en el anime Arslan mismo lo expulsa del ejercito...
@LC.OneSketch8 жыл бұрын
No entendiste el anime... Gieve se fue por su propia voluntad también... fue "expulsado" solo visto de afuera, era lo que querían aparentar
