I only ran about 50 rounds this range trip but she did run flawlessly! Next time I want to run at least 200 consecutive rounds and then do a little bit of torture testing aswell!

It's actually lifetime of the owner warranty. They can offer that due to predicted lifespan of typical gang member high point owner.

@ck, I was thinking along similar lines. Regardless if just a good ol' civilian or gang member, the lifetime warranty, should a person have to use this 'gun' in defense, might turn out to be very little liability for Hi Point. As in, if there is a failure most likely it's gonna be a catastrophic failure... Kind of hard to make a warranty claim when you're on your back with coins on your eyes.

Ive had a few had the c9 as my first pistol and never had a malfunction with it. I dont currently have one but i do believe they deserve a little more credit than they get.

I’ve had my hi point for about 3 years now and I can honestly say that this weapon has NEVER given me a problem. I’ve put near 5000 rounds through my gun and I clean my hi point every 1500 rounds like the owners manual states and it keeps on kicking ass. Definitely NO complaints here.........

I love my Hi-Point's as much as any of my firearms. Every collection should have 1 or 3. They are function over form. Lifetime (gun not owner) Warranty. American made. Their carbines are one of the funnest firearms you'll ever shoot. Now available in 20 rounds, and many flavors. Affordable enough to have one in every room or auto, or both. Good video. I have the older C9 with a compensator and have fed it with some pretty damn cheap ammo and it still works flawlessly. The weak link in them is the magazine. A little careful bending fixes the magazine issue quickly and the gun should run like a champ.

You can buy 2 mags on eBay for $25. Great for a survival bag. A 9mm can nab a rabbit or bad guy. REMOVE THE MAG DISCONNECT, & BEND OPEN THE FEED LIPS. it will be 100%

GlockGuy226 that 45 carbine they make is cool too. Has a definite “whoa” factor at the range going for it. Always an important factor. The pmr 30 is sort of the champ for that.

Great video man.... I have owned a C9 JHP .40 and JCP .45 for about 5 years now... They were rough thru the 1st 300 rounds... 10,000 plus rounds later... ( that's all of them combined ) I only had one stove pipe out of each model but no issues since.... Best part is that they ARE NOT ammo snobs... Hi Points will eat anything!!! ( like that kid Mikey from the 80's Chex commercials.... Damn I'm old..lol ) For extra mags try Gun Mag Warehouse or Cheaper than Dirt also check out this app called gundeals.com.. Great work bro...

Well, I would hardly use the words "Hi Point' and 'collection' in the same sentence, lol. Ya know, a pistol is a pistol when it comes down to it... Even if you're comparing a Series 70 Colt 1911 with filigree and pearl grips with a Hi Point, they both are meant to shoot bullets bottom line. Me personally, I don't think I'd be up for owning a Hi Point but if all I had to spend was the hundred or so bucks for a pistol then I'd be ok with it. I don't look down on someone for buying one as long as they are informed on what their choices are and they have a reason for what they get. I am not a fan on the design as you showed on what's required to field strip the weapon nor am I a fan of the necessary bulk required for this pistol to function as a blow-back only. When you shoot this one again, I'd suggest you fire 2-3 brands of hollow point defense ammo just so we can see that there is no significant change in the function. Lots of 9mm pistols can shoot fmj perfectly fine (and they should based on the profile of the round) but most of us know that 9mm fmj is not a best choice for defense ammo.

I agree with you man, I bought it more for testing purposes than anything and I do plan on running multiple brands and weights of 9MM ammo, Both hollow points and FMJ next time I take her to the range! Thats a process I run ALL of my guns through!

@@GlockGuy226 It would be interesting to see and I'm sure that folks who own this one and may not have a lot of extra money to do thorough testing could benefit from what you might find. I think a lot of folks who may own a defensive firearm for their house might buy it, shoot it once and then put it away without making sure that adequate defense ammo they can buy will function perfectly. Shoot, a lot of folks who claim to know a lot about guns fail to do this as well, testing a variety of loads to make sure the thing goes bang when they want it to. Even more expensive pistols sometimes have certain ammo types they don't like as you know. I totally get it that you bought the Hi Point out of curiosity or even a novelty. I gotta say that I bought a PPK .380 because I thought it was a cool weapon being the one used on screen for some of the Bond movies but after shooting that little thing, it's not really that pleasant of an experience, lol. Even an all steel little blowback pistol is gonna have significant recoil.
