Lets keep a clear distinction between Islam and colonialism. To be a Muslim you do not have to be a Turk, a Persian or an Arab. Persians and Turks keep their ethnic names from their cultures. You have a beautiful birth name and should not change it. Being Muslim doesn't mean you forget your soil, DNA or culture. Never surrender your indigenous identity, Never forget the history of your ancestors, Never quit your language. Native Pride. Son of Soil.
@globalcitizen18562 ай бұрын
@@azarkamal4477 But who are your ancestors? What is their history? What was their culture? When you have DNA from different parts of the world, what exactly is your soil? What exactly is your identity when everything about you is very different from the native people, their culture, their heroes, their values, and living style? The fact of the matter is that you don’t have any identity and so you are trying out different identities to see which suits you the best! Tomorrow you might become Chinese!

Not Pakistan and Srilanka was inspired not by Tagore Please read more about this!! The first national anthem of Pakistan was Tarana-e-Pakistan, which was broadcast on August 14, 1947, but it was never officially adopted. The current national anthem was officially adopted in 1954, Qaumi Taranah, which translates to "Blessed Be the Sacred Land" in English. The anthem was adopted on August 16, 1954.

@PeacefulSecularGuy dude read it again. Who says anything about Pakistan national anthem? Countries mentioned are India, Sirlanka and Bangladesh.
@abeerhamid2 ай бұрын
@PeacefulSecularGuy Also, you can simply google for the Srilankan national anthem to know more. Let me copy/paste a few lines from Wikipedia, you can do extensive search as well. Your both points are incorrect: " There are differing accounts as to the origin of the "Sri Lanka Matha". The most widely held view is that Sri Lankan composer Ananda Samarakoon wrote the music and lyrics to the song, inspired/influenced by the Indian Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore.[3][4][5][1] A minority suggest that Tagore wrote the anthem in full.[6][7][8][9] Some have suggested that Tagore wrote the music whilst Samarakoon wrote the lyrics.[10][11] Tagore being directly involved in the creation of the song has been denied by some historians like Indian Lipi Ghosh and Sri Lankan Sandagomi Coperahewa.[12] Samarakoon had been a pupil of Tagore at Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan.["

At 24.20 first time I am hearing that Anandapala was a corrupt , indolent king. Even Alberuni has praised Anandapala. In fact even Anandapala's son and grandson resisted Mahmud of Ghazni - they didn't run away. Unfortunately the Rajputs then were disorganised and didnt come to the aid of one another. Else this great Hindu Shahi dynasty would have survived much longer and been a bulwark against Turkic invasions

Lesser Known Fact: There’s a small town on KPK’s M1 called Lahor near Swabi. Known by few to once have been an ancient town on the Indus carrying immense historic importance for the Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims of South Asia. A town of scholars, monks, and warriors 1/n (🧵) Lahor, also known as Chota Lahore, is a small town lying near the confluence of the Kabul and Indus rivers in KPK. However in the ancient times this town was known as Salatura, home of the grammarian Panini, the Monk Marananta, and the last town of Al-Muhallab’s foray. Panini was an ancient Hindu grammarian from Salatura who lived between the 6th and 4th centuries BCE and was one of the first people in the world to work on descriptive linguistics and certainly the first to write a treatise on Sanskrit grammar. His work consisting of over 3000 aphorisms, the Astadhyayi, marks the transition from Vedic Sanskrit to classical Sanskrit and was used for centuries after him and won him much acclaim even from modern linguists. There was apparently a statue of him in Salatura at some point. Marananta was a Buddhist monk from Salatura credited to be amongst the first to introduce Buddhism to the Korean Peninsula in the late 4th century. Using the Silk Road, Marananta is believed to have travelled from Gandhara through China to reach the Korean Peninsula in 384 CE. Marananta travelled to the kingdom of Baekje and preached Buddhism to the royal house and with support of the ruler built the kingdom’s first Buddhist temple and trained 10 monks. About a century and a half later, Buddhism in Baekje would reach its golden era. Though pertinent to mention is that by further research I’ve discovered the generally accepted theory of Marananta being from Salatura to have a rather weak basis. There needs to be further work conducted by Korean and Pakistani archaeologists and historians in this regard. Salatura was also one of the few south Asian cities to be mentioned in the early Islamic historiographical work the “Futuh Al-Buldan” and also one of the first towns in the region to witness Muslim activity due to the foray Al-Muhallab. Al-Muhallab Ibn Sufra was an Muslim general who led the first charge of the Muslims into today’s Khyber Pukhtunkhwa in 644 CE during the rule of the Huns. The historian Baladhuri mentions 2 cities: Al-Bannah (Bannu Basin) and Al-Ahwar (Lahor/Salatura). Though the attack was successful, no permanent hold over the region was made but an important possible strategic aim was achieved. Forces of Zabulistan were possibly scattered and barred from regrouping against Ibn Samura’s siege which lead to the fall of Kabul to the Muslims. Though due to a dearth of information we don’t know how large of an effect this foray till Salatura had but the existence of early Islamic tombs, mentions of Muslims traders in Hund and the later tomb of Sinan Ibn Salmah show us that the Muslim activity in the region increased. Though Salatura would find another possible mention later on by some historians, it’s importance vaned even further with time. It is all but a small town on the motorway now, a small town with a small secret of its extremely illustrious past.

Loved the podcast. Only one thing to add, in fact there was no cast (obviously it is a distorted view), it was a Varn system, and according to the job you can be anything among brahman, rajput, vaisy and shudra.
