Great video, cleaners and wheelchairs are both things that a lot of people don’t realise has criteria and so not everyone can access them, which can make things so tough! And good luck for your tilt table test! This really made me think about stuff that even I don’t even think about, like the fact I also paid for my pill box and probably a hundred other little things!

Thank you! I already feel appalling and this is just the prep haha. As soon as I finished editing I realised there were things I forgot to include, like software for uni, exercise bands for physio, the orthotics that I made a whole video about 😂 there are just so many extra things we have to buy

This is a great video and incredibly thorough! I think you left out an important one though: the cost of having dietary restrictions. I know so many people who have medical diets or allergies, myself included, whose food ends up having to be so much more expensive than it is for able-bodied people. I'm currently undiagnosed, but my friend with EDS, POTS, and MCAS thinks I have the trifecta too. I started a food diary, and found out that my symptoms pretty much correlate directly with the SIGHI food list for MCAS; meanwhile I also have to be on the IBD-AID diet for my Crohn's disease. IBD-AID restricts me from eating rice, corn, dairy, potatoes, added sugar, and all grains except oats and barley, among other restrictions. Then with the MCAS restrictions, I can't have beans, tomatoes, bananas, citrus, and a bunch of other cheap food staples. It's so expensive, stressful, and time-consuming to cook for myself, and I can't rely on instant food either due to my restrictions. Granted my case is extreme, but I know even people who have simpler dietary restrictions like no gluten also have to pay a lot more for food, and it's also a huge learning curve to figure out what to eat. Other than that, this was very informative and discussed a lot of topics I myself hadn't thought about, including shower chairs. Thank you for explaining all this! :)
