Yes I learned 3 new things from the editor, IDK why I remember an option to block layers, it allows you to make layers untouchable, the color yellow in the numbers turns orange, and then, there is no way to select it
@grenategd25474 жыл бұрын
Hey theres one more feature that you either forgot to mention or didnt know of. And its that plus and minus button that can be found in the Edit Object page over the layer select. Basically what they do is that when you have a bunch of objects selected at ones it will either add or substract one value from the layer (Top2, top1, bottom 1 etc) that every object is in so that you dont have to do it manually for yourself. Hopefully this will help you as much as it does for me :)

One thing you didn’t mention is the ability to uncheck speed portals, which makes them deactivate when playtesting music. Useful for making alternate routes; or if you have a medium length level you want to be long, you can uncheck the faster speed portals.

Yes! I only found out about them after this video was made sadly... They make the selected objects bounce up one layer so for example from t1 to t2 or bounce down one layer for example b2 to b3 cool thing about this it doesn't smush all the objects together on to one layer!

"Do you really know what all of these buttons do?" well... resume exits the menu, save and play saves the level and sends you to the level in normal mode, save and exit saves the level and sends you back to the level menu, save is... pretty self explainatory, exit sends you back to the level menu without saving the level, you can check preview mode and uncheck it to have a preview of what the level would look like on normal mode, show ground shows the ground on the editor, show object info shows the selected object(s) info on the upper left side of the screen, select filter makes it so on the delete menu you can filter object selection, follow player makes it so the camera follows the player on playtest mode and ignore damage basically noclips you on playtest mode, the screw button on the upper right side of the screen shows YET ANOTHER menu which is NOT on this menu so im not going to cover it, the keys button with yellow text shows a list of hotkeys you can use, the build helper helps you build (but its mostly useless), create _base, outline, and edges_ are for the 2.1 blocks if you dont know how to build them yourself, reset unused sets all unused colors to white (default), uncheck portals is for unchecking portals (when you check a selected portal it shows you can see the limits of it), align x and y aligns all selected blocks on the selected axis if more than 2 are selected, select all auto-selects all blocks on the current layer, select all right and left is basically select all but on those sides of the screen, the button with a music note and some lines shows and hides music lines (the ones you record on the level options menu) and the help button shows the editor guide which YOU COULD BE USING INSTEAD OF *_READING THIS LONG TEXT WHICH I WROTE BY MYSELF WITHOUT WATCHING THE REST OF THE VIDEO._*
