It always blows my mind the strength of the old 18 rods. I took your suggestion on them over a year ago and now have two buoyancy and one kinetic rod. Those things are built like tanks!

Super Fun Video Mark! At least you can still fish in the winter. My flats and marshes are completely frozen up here on the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay so I'll have to wait for spring. It's been one extremely cold winter... What's the deal with Old 18? Everything is just about sold out and has been for a good while. I just picked up a couple more reels from Bates, Salty Hundo and a Hundo LTS and have been looking for a couple of Buoyancy Medium light casting rods to go with them but "all sold out". I did get the very last 6'6" Medium Light they had and it's on the way. In the Mean time "Good Fishing My Friend"...

I started wearing nitrile gloves under my fishing gloves and got some SIMMS convertible Freestone foldover fishing mittens when real cold, these are not waterproof so nitrile gloves needed under.
