Several of those behaviors are actually hormonal and should NOT be overlooked or downplayed. Ignoring hormonal (what most people think is cute and excited) behaviors will quickly become aggressive and even dangerous.

Totally agree! Those cute vibes can turn into serious drama if we don’t pay attention. Thanks for pointing that out!

Parrots are wild. Best care. Protect their environment and leave them wild

While that’s a lovely sentiment, parrots have been bred in captivity for a very long time. Sadly they are often acquired by people who are ill equipped to handle and train them - so they end up getting dumped. Parrots are the 3rd most popular pet in the world and the #1 most rehomed. So it is important that people learn as much as they can about the birds they have. This, unfortunately is an inaccurate and misleading video.

@@mcdart2606 I know, but exotic pets do not help the pets or the wild populations. Again, though education and change in people's attitudes toward the environment may lead to protecting wild populations

While I totally agree with "wild animals should stay in the wild" Captive born animals need loving homes too. I will not apologize for having my African Grey and giving him his best life possible. He is only in his cage when I'm sleeping or not home, for his own safety. Other than that he is out of his cage all the time.
