Something pretty terrible happened to me about 14 years ago. I'm deeply Christian now, but I always think to myself how much I wish I could go back and avoid certain things and people at that time. This Bible study made me think, for the first time, that I never want to go back to be that person before. Would I still have had the experiences that led me to Christ? This is the first time in 14 years, I really do not wish anymore to go back. God chose me for this time, and even with all the things that still keep me awake at night, I would not choose a happy life if there was even a tiny chance my heart would not know and love Jesus.

Romans 14:17. The kingdom of God is not about food nor drink. Rather, of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.💙
@carinhouthuijsen8283 Жыл бұрын
But without food and drink nobody can be at peace or have joy? You are right, righteousness and peace are two of the most important things of the Kingdom of God! But by beïng alive we need food and at least water... (I do understand the point you are making!).. But when my fridge is empty and we have still two weeks to go before money comes . I try to stay calm, I normally don't show my worries (but living for years and years, maybe almost for 20/30 years now.. Now I cried it out).. But afterwards I feel ashamed, that I showed myself vulnerable.. Because I have learned through experience, beïng vulnerable or show it, it is not accepted and you get extra negativity over the sorrows you already have .. Ore you get mocked by ore laughed at.. Well this I find totally NOT of God!!

I'm encouraged as a father of 4 to think like a farmer using this parable as a blueprint for how to manage 'the crop' the Heavenly Father has given me to administer. Any farmer can attest that there are steps to growing fruitful plants -it isn't done in a rush in a single step. The following farming steps can be applied from the lens of God and his children at a macro level and at a micro level of Earthly Godly fathers, like me, and our own children. Step one (seed 1): losen the soil - the ground is hard, losen it so you don't have the result of seed 1. Step 2 (seed 2): top dress that lossened soil with some deep rich top soils for some good roots to grow - clear the rocks as best you can so it can grow when the sun (son) shines and not wither away. Step 3 (seed 3): keep the weeds (bad influeneces and worldly voices) out - keep them out from choking the seed that is planted, has nutrients, has roots, but will get choked out by weeds growing along side the plant. Step 4 (seed 4): watch it produce fruit in season, abundantly. I don't think there are fixed ages for these steps, but it seems that early childhood (newborn to 3ish) if you as a father focus on step #1 you can move to step #2 (3ish to 10ish) and step #3 (tweens - young adult) and the result is the 4th category of fruitful production. Just a thought of how to apply all 4 of the seeds in the parable vs. thinking that the parable is limited to each being uniquely a set of fixed people. Basically, the seed isn't static, (but can be - it is and it isn't. It's Both. That's the beauty of His parables) I thought of this since this explanation above would help to refute those that say this parable contradicts 'once saved always saved' since a seed received (past tense)the word with joy - but then withered away, and it would also would refute a purely Calvinists POV.

When you're talking about the hardening of the heart, it reminded me of a convo I had with someone on IG recently. The person did not believe in God, and many believers were sharing with him the gospel, and he still didn't believe - he kept rejecting it. I jumped in and shared the example of Pharaoh's heart being hardened even after all that he saw Moses doing by the Mighty Hand of God. So this person decided to interpret that as "God is punishing" him with a hardened heart by God himself for the reason this person has not seen the evidence of all the miracles, or been revealed to by God himself. But there was no getting through this person, and he kept rejecting.
@mythocrat4 ай бұрын
People want to see the evil they want to see in things, they judge according to the quality of their hearts. Some people don't want proof or evidence of God's existence, they want to hear the argument for God's existence to simply reject them, not out of a good heart neither giving the benefit of the doubt with genuine doubt, but mostly to mock or reject more on purpose.

I still use the name Jesus when ministering to certain groups these days but in my studies and encounters I’ve found that our messiah’s true name is much more powerful. The Bible says there is power in the name so I’ve started using the name Yeshua and YHWH personally. I’m curious as time whether you have studied this topic in depth yet. I know we all have an area we focus in most of the time though. Either way keep it up brother!! Great job.

Crude as it was, I got it and it fits in with constant themes popping up in the Bible inter weaving perfectly and poetically as the language of the Bible does. It hit me in 40 minutes.

(1) The wayside hearers. When anyone hears the word of the Kingdom and doesn't understand it, then comes the wicked one, and catches away that which was down in his heart. The heart which receives the seed is not receptive or responsive. It is like the public highway, hardened by the constant traffic of the world. Though the Word is said to be "down in his heart" it finds no lodgment in it. Those that hear the Word are responsible to understand it. The thorny ground heaters, in Luke 8:14 the "pleasures of this life" are additional hindrances represented by the "thorns"

The kingdom is within us! So all this takes place inside us… The flesh and the spirit are BOTH inside our human form….the flesh is the enemy’s “son” /offspring and is one of the “two” standing in a field or sleeping in a bed… The spirit is from the seed of God and is the wheat and the other person who is either taken up or left (depending on which you consider “saved” or whatever…). So the “field” is inside us! And inside us grows both flesh and spirit…. Sin is condemned to the flesh since Christ was sacrificed… we the spirits will leave the flesh and then death and this world will be overcome. 🤷🏼♀️🙌🙌🙌🙌

Do you think in the wheat/weeds parable, Jesus is using a connection to how the place for the temple of God was chosen in 1 Chronicles 21-22 and chapter 28? The temple being part of God's kingdom, and with the altar being built on a wheat threshing floor? Just thinking there would be good reason for this symbolic connection, especially since Jesus does seem to use parts of Old Testament parables, giving them a new twist.

I don't need parables to understand the Kingdom of God. I only need his Church (Body of Christ). Christ gave to his Apostles the work of proclaiming the Kingdom, and through the Holy Spirit forms his people into a priestly kingdom, the Church, in which the Kingdom of God is mysteriously present, for she is the seed and beginning of the Kingdom on earth. Parables were given to people at a time to help them understand better. 2,000 years later they are just part of the Scriptures.

Read the Parable of the VINEYARD OWNER, this one pertains to today’s times. The owner went to a far off land for a long time, where did he go? This is what God is revealing to us, in these last days. He created his empire and sat on the Throne, as King James, the Epistle Dedicatory reveals this Truth. God told Daniel he would create 4 beast systems, then create his Empire and the ancient of days would sit on the Throne. Where did he go? Great Britain people, British in Hebrew means: People of the Covenant.
