AVG italo has reached a top speed of 574,8 km/h in 2007 which is the world record, though of course that isn't the speed it's designed to operate at normally: its commercial top speed is fixed at around 360 km/h.

@@yli97 Many of the tunnels for railway lines in the 19th century were built by Italians. Mark Twain was astonished by this in his travel to Germany near Eberbach in the middle Rhine valley -- and he repeated stereotypes for fun, of course -- : "It seems that the heavy work in the quarries and the new railway gradings is done mainly by Italians. That was a revelation. We have the notion in our country that Italians never do heavy work at all, but confine themselves to the lighter arts, like organ-grinding, operatic singing, and assassination. We have blundered, that is plain." (see Wikisource: en.m.wikisource.org/wiki/A_Tramp_Abroad/XVII )

the French company has taken over the factory and the Italian knowledge which is older than the French one both in the production of high-speed trains and in the construction of high-speed lines!

it's very diffcult to build high speed railroads couse of Appennini mountains chane. The same problem of California. Instead in France it's very easy to find train like TGV Atlantique that can reach 450 Km/h.

No, trains reach 350km/h in France but most of the high speed track is limited to 250/300 km/h
