The Highland Cut on the NS Fort Wayne Line - April 2, 2023

Here's a short video of the Norfolk Southern Highland Cut, a small canyon which the Fort Wayne Line runs through in the community of Big Beaver, Pennsylvania. It was excavated when the line was being constructed in the 1850s by the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago Railroad, and inherited by the Pennsylvania Railroad and eventually Norfolk Southern. It's one of those locations you have to know about as it's not in a populated area, and I'm happy that my friend ‪@HistoricBF‬ showed it to us.
