Ivy Fields is a well hidden highlight, as well as the award winning butchers A. Turner & Sons in North Lane. Believe me, the Redan Road Cemetery is amazing and a visit worth.
The name North Town may not sound spectacular or familiar but its hiding some real jewels ! I mean just have a look at those amazing churches! Look at the schools in this area!

I'm 74 years old now and live in the USA. Back when I was about 8 or 10, I had a Pen Pal from England, Sandra, who lived on North Lane in North Town. So your video/interview of that area was a delight for me, to see and learn about that area. It brought back pleasant memories. Thanks.

I lived in North Town (Pegasus Ave) so know this area well. It was never known as Ivy Fields it was just called the Rec. I used to use ride horses from the stables behind what was Thos. Christine's factory and ride through the Rec and through to Shawfield Lane and over the iron bridge by the Buxted factory.
