i have beaten it 3 times now with around 200 deaths. At some point you get lucky and a very easy round with a lot of damage multipliers and krit stuff so you can oneshot pretty much everything. And then there are a lot of runs you get shit all the way down xD

@@melonenlord2723 That's basically what happened to me, I roll a bunch of immunity perks and got a rapid fire lightning wand that I was basically immune to, so I could wreck anything in my path, including kolmi.

it actually would have. He had infinite healing, when means saving grace is also infinite so long as you keep healing. Though he wasn't aware of that when he choose his perks so it's fair enough that he choose what he did.

@@soheil5710 You misunderstand, when you have that sort of healing it stays on for a few seconds, so you actually cannot die in most cases since it heals you at least 2 HP faster than you can die, and you get a lot of saving graces or even survive period. So if you see that things have gone wrong, you just use the wand and you hold the button down and you should be able to outlast it. This has saved me a LOT in longer runs.

There can be a number of explanations. Basic answer is enemy just picked up a nearby wand and shot. It could've been a random wand from the magic temple that I ran away from. Could've been the next spell on the wand that shot me seconds before. Or it could've been a hiisi solider fighting a rat just left of me. Exact answer will never be known just 'wand with nuke' is known sadly.

The more I play and learn about this game the less I want to keep playing it. What is it about RNG that makes a game like this so appealing? I understand wanting a challenge but this just feels like someone's guilty torture p*rn turned video game. At least with Souls like games you can actually 'git gud' but with this I just don't know. You said in the video "you just need to learn how to build" but how am I supposed to learn how to build when the game only gives me the same 20 spells every single run. Idk shit on me for "getting noita'd" I guess but a game that you can only get good at by having good luck I'm slowly learning is not my cup of tea at all.

Noita certainly is a game with a high entry point. Sadly, learning how to build a wand does come down to a lot of trial and error in the beginning, if you only want to learn through run attempts. If your open to 'extra' resources I would suggest the steam mod 'Spell Lab' (steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2297568811). It'll teach more about more common-ish wand builds. After this is basically about learning how to make the wands you find into a usable state. Sorry for ranting and if you do decide to keep up with the game I hope this reply helps a little. =)

My experience with the game is that I learned from my many mistakes and minimize the effect of bad luck. Even in this example: The saving grace would have saved him. So next time I would think twice about getting it, especially with a healing wand. I have about 250 deaths now and consistently get to powerful wands and try to explore outside the standard gameplay loop. And everytime I die, I learn something new (and hopefully will be more cautious about what killed me)
