I have seen where people build foot powered lathes where a piece of wood was used as a spring. A rope from the spring is looped around the the work piece and then attached to a foot petal. The reason I mentioned it you could build one so that you could make bowls from the blocks of wood you got from the root ball. What ever you decide to make will look amazing with that grain pattern

Pigs can put their noses under that gate and lift it off the hinges. You need some type of stopper on top of hinge. Mine wrecked every gate I had till I figured it out. After they successfully do it once they won't forget and will keep trying the same trick. Good luck

Sarah, I have never seen anyone pick olives with an umbrella. Simply brilliant!! 😄 That olive wood will make some very beautiful things. Maybe, with small pieces that are left over, make some jewelry. Such as necklace pendants. You could carve designs in them, do some brass, copper or silver inlays and then put a nice polish on them. They would be very unique and you could sell them. Just a thought. 😊 Take care and have a good week. 🍂🌾♥️🌾🍂

Wonderful video, with the music selection too! Beautiful sunset or rise you captured, sometimes it's hard to tell. Timmy was all in this one, I just Love him! Molly and Pepper/Pipper(?), sure do have their own personalities!! Elaine tried printing her olives this year. From the looks on their faces and what they said, I think a different start next year. Hope yours turn out well!!! Project Portugal had a lot of oil this year! I can't hardly wait to see what Luke does with the wood. I was hoping with the bid one he could have cleaned it up the way he does and then set a big piece off 3/4 in or so glass on top with beveled edges to go under the ceiling in the outdoor kitchen as a dinning table for family and friends, and local customers or neighbors or all travelers! LOL I don't know your future plans for the big outdoor kitchen. But I can see some BBQ Pulled Pork, slowly smoked over a enclosed grill, without a door!! Now you have me dreaming!!! 🙏❤🇵🇹⛵👣🤗

You can grow a tree back from stumps if you selectively prune side shoots out and leave one strong central branch. don't know if it would work on olives after 40 years though. Tony Renaudo did some really inspiring work in the sahel where they were trying to plant trees without success, he realised the millions of bushes he saw were tree stumps regrowing after they had been cut and grazed, they just needed encouragement and a bit of protection to turn into trees again. Posted something earlier but it was taken down.
