10:34 Fuji seems to be the only company getting MF price to a reasonable amount. Phase One and Leica counterparts are such a massive investment. If I were Pentax, I would re-launch the 645z system with some modest modern features and priced as the gateway to get into MF

I love the idea of a Chinese AF lens roundup. Viltrox has been killing it lately. Meike is on the up. Yongnuo is expanding. TTArtisan is moving into AF lenses. Now 7Artisans, too. They're filling that low-to-mid budget hole left by first-parties that was previously occupied by pretty much just by Sigma and Tamron.

I still forget the different segments of photo/ video industry don’t necessarily interact. Livestreamers have been using/ testing the Mevo system for IRL streaming for years. There are whole backpack livestream kits out there. Some vloggers have been trying to use standalone systems for things like off-grid or camping, events like VidCon, etc.

@christill10 ай бұрын
There definitely are a lot of people out there who only use single point and recompose, S-AF and single shot modes with cameras that are far more advanced than they actually need (Jordan just said the same thing when I resumed the video after writing this which is quite cool). But I also think it’s great that we do have this amazing technology now. I just wish we had less model releases, less extreme consumption and more of a collaborative system of camera design rather than competitive.

regarding the Logitech cam, i still don't understand why they are so expensive. I feel like sony should undercut them with a under 500$ APSC Emount webcam. No Battery, no buttons, nothing. Just come cable inputs. If they don't make money on the body, they will make their money on lenses.

Asking if cameras are too good nowadays is such a weird question. Doubly so because the caller was fanning his own balls about suffering being somehow a virtue. We do not use leeches or lobotomies anymore, nor should we suffer with substandard gear. If that's what you want to use, feel free, but keep your suffering to yourself 😊. I'll take the latest and greatest happily. Every advancement means less workflow friction.

Those things don’t work, but traditional photography does. A better example is the person who flies a helicopter to the top of mountain peaks. If all you wanted to do is see the view from up there, cool, you do you. Don’t pretend you’re a mountaineer however. People who actually enjoy mountaineering and consider the view at the top just to be the icing on the cake will never respect you, and you will never get to see the view from the top of Everest. Very few mountaineers will either, but you’re locked out from the pinnacle of mountaineering because you don’t have the skill when the technology limits you.
