yes Sigurd! She was ALWAYS "on" . Most comedians (even the best)repeat jokes- some repeated way too much. Not Joan, she was a pip, a true comedian GREAT...imo They showed her catalog(ue) of jokes after she passed...amazing woman. Forget her politics, forget the rumor mill she was and always will be in my book as someone special.

i will say this...MARTHA is up for anything. she hikes mountains, swims oceans, does animal husbandry, gardens, educates herself on many aspects of any project or task she want to perfect of become expert in. she is an all around go sport and curious about everything. that's a real classy "broad" when it comes to being 'down" for whatever. love her. OLIVIA should have asked her, and i bet she never thought of it, but MARTHA would have been ready for that walk.

Beloved Joann Rivers~ my remembrance of You being such a delight of warmth, humor and kindness. I worked for a film cater company and assigned to go on your film shoot at a Westchester mall in NY. You were filming an hilarious shopping vid as a way to lose weight in jest. I Prepped all the food for Lunch for You and Production Crew. Will never forget your appreciation, I never asked, but You Joann said "Aw Sweetie thank you for this delicious lunch ~your cooped up in this room~ how are you doing?" She did not have to ask such, it was my job through this catering company, I worked for, to provide All the Production Crew & Talent a Lunch Meal. Joann was a Gem that day and in her Life bringing many a Hilarious Humor of Heart Speak for Eons that I Treasure and Many too. I was truly Blessed to meet her in exchange even if brief ~I said to her~ "that I so loved her expression of humor and happy to meet her." She hugged me and said "Thank You for your kind words" Keep Shining Joann in All Our Heart of Hearts~ Beloved

I studied in China and I visited the Great Wall of China. It's really hard to get up to the Wall and it is so hard to walk the length. Joan was not joking when she said you don't need the gym when you walk on The Great Wall. It's exhausting. China is a beautiful, mysterious country.

You cant walk the "length" of the great wall of China..... It is around 5,500 miles of constructed stone walls which are in countless sections, not a continuous length, over 225 miles of trenches, and over 1400 miles of natural barriers. More sections are found every year and is thought to encompass at least 13,170 miles. Regardless, the vast majority of sections are not open to tourists to walk and only available to archeologists, preservationists, or other historians/scientists.

Everyone misses how giving and charitable Joan was. She had no business being there. She did it because she wanted to help a great cause. Can you imagine the courage she had to walk up the wall of China in high heals at her age? Heart of Diamonds.
