The Hill Family

Jasmyne and Jermaine Hill welcomed their first child into the world in February 2022. After friends and family commented on little Jaxon’s unusually grey eyes, Jasmyne and Jermaine decided to contact his pediatrician. Soon after, Jaxon was diagnosed with congenital glaucoma and rushed into surgery at 3 months old. Since then, he has undergone 2 more surgeries. Thanks to those doctors and Jasmyne and Jermaine’s quick action, Jaxon’s vision was saved. Jaxon is now 21 months old and his parents describe him as a typical toddler, who can recognize their faces and bounce with joy when mom walks through the door. In between appointments with his ophthalmologist, Jasmyne and Jermaine are devoted to raising awareness of this disease and encouraging everyone to get their eyes checked.
