A great 4 season tent that ticks so many boxes, including being a decent sized 1 person tent (Ideal for tall people) However a bit on the pricey and definitely not for everyone!

I'm 6 foot 5 and have used this tent for over nine years for all my European cycling trips. It's an overall comfortable tent, the only downside is the ventilation, it can get very wet on the inside. Plus side is you can pitch it very fast and break it up even quicker, and the weather protection during heavy rains and storms is top-notch.

I love my Hilleberg Soulo and have had many great adventures in it, like yourself. It’s never let me down and yes I agree the dreaded condensation is always a factor, but just part of the camping experience! 👍

Great video .excellent presentation. I feel this tent is very strong and well designed. But only required if your doing some extreem camping in high risk locations .for every other camping location a lighter weight better ventilated tent would be a better option . Im really enjoying inner pitch first tents for multi day walks . As it means i take the wet fly off in the morning and can either dry it quicky in the sun or store it away from the dry inner so im not putting up a soaked tent the next night (when it could be raining .) Inner first is best for multi day adventures .

Thanks for the positive comments! This is a great tent but to only use this tent occasionally and in fair weather, this tent would be an over kill. Luckily there are so many wonderful tents for all seasons and budgets on the market, which is great, as one tent definitely doesn’t fit all occasions! 👍

That is a terrific review of the size and features. Thanks for showing us, I've bought one of these but haven't used it yet but plan to this winter.

I’m pleased you found this video helpful. I thought this video would benefit everyone in general, but especially for tall people, as there are so many mixed and conflicting reviews on the actual size and height of this tent. 👍

shoulda tried it sitting on an extra thick winter sleeping pad

As stated in the video, I have already used this tent with a 4 season sleep system and long/wide sleeping pad and there was still enough room! 👍

Richard......put a TAR XTherm in the tent, sit on that and you will touch the ceiling with your head, cause NO ONE will use this tent without a sleeping pad. I`m 6`3`and I will touch the Inner of my Soulo. But it doesn`t matter. I have bought the Soulo 3 times since it came to market in 2008. I only used it under very rough conditions mostly in the Highlands of Iceland on all 4 Seasons. I just crossed Iceland from North to South last Month on a 300km Solo Hiking Tour and had the red Label Version of the Soulo in red colour with me. I pimped it with the 2 long Poles in 10.5mm of the Black Label Version. It is a very small tent, when it comes to living space. But that is the price you have to pay, when Lightweight and insane Wind stability are the key factors. For me it is still the best 1 Person Tent on the Market. Periode !!!

Why would you use this tent without a sleeping pad?? 🤔 I use the NeoAir XTherm NXT MAX Large Sleeping Mat and I’ve used the Origem, which is 14cm thick and I’m 6.3” and my head doesn’t touch the ceiling. I do agree though for me it’s one of the best Soulo tents on the market, regardless of price!

I would buy this tent in a heartbeat but sadly I don’t believe that I would fit inside without both my head and feet touching both ends. I’m 6’9’’ (209cm). I had to go for the Kaitum 2 but unfortunately due to the footprint it takes up (around 5m). Finding a suitable pitch especially on a summit is very tricky. Thanks for the detailed review.

6ft 9” WoW that’s tall! Yeah you definitely won’t fit in this tent! Shame as it’s a cracking tent! Kaitum is a great tent, however at your height I’m sure you find a lot tricky, but I’m sure make it work! 👍
@Hightower600Ай бұрын
@ The Kaitum (Keron, Helags) series are also 220cm long but feature totally vertical ends making the space useable even for the likes of me but at a cost of size and weight (except for Helags). I own a Big Agnes Copper Spur “Long” which is perfect for tall users but wouldn’t trust it in bad weather conditions. I’ve thought about the Unna but again I think it’s unsuitable for someone of my height.

I used to have a Big Agnes Tiger Wall UL2, I loved that tent! The Unna is a good tent, but do agree, it probably wouldn’t work for you! However whatever tent you have, you have to have confidence in it, when the weather turns!

I'm 6'4 and would love this tent but don't think I'd fit. Be good to see your mate laying in it in a mat and sitting on a mat rather than the floor.

I believe you will fit in this tent, lying down or sitting up, even on a 4 season sleep system. I have a friend who’s 6ft 4” and he fits, ok there’s no room to spare, but he still makes it work! 👍
