Good evening sir, Today’s motivational quote is “Rise up & attack the day with enthusiasm.” Editorial is related to increasing the spread of contagious disease namely Monkeypox in Europe and North America. In my opinion:- For the last two years, the world has been experiencing an unprecedented loss due to the pandemic crisis and now a new contagious disease namely Monkeypox has been spreading mainly in the sphere of Europe and North America. Good news for India is that the country has no such cases. Learning from the past incidents, the government must focus on strengthening the health structures and ensuring availability of medicines as well. The WHO has recently warned all the countries for taking all precautionary measures in time so that the spread of the disease could be stopped in the beginning stage. There can be no denying that discovering specific medicine for the disease is a long process but transmission of the disease can be prevented, if the government fully focuses on upgrading the present condition of the Government hospitals where they are facing shortage of staff and other basic things that are needed in the hospitals. During the pandemic crisis, it was seen that the government did not give attention when the first case of the Coronavirus was reported, resulting they had little option to curb the transmission of the virus. Besides, the government had given emergency approval for the use of vaccines which clearly show that the government will do whatever they want, they have no mean for the life of the ordinary people. While approving the vaccines, the government must check whether it has followed/completed all norms/trials which were formed by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI). India, which follows democratic norms, no one has right to play with someone’s life.
