No other singer quite like Kenny.... No other family quite like The Hinsons Was fortunate to meet Larry at a restaurant in south GA I've Sunday evening. After the Pastor he was sitting with left he came, sat with us and talked for probably an hour to hour and a half. Extremely pleasant and personable. He and Kenny both are enjoying what we all are longing for now... God is Good!!

My mother took me to see The Hinsons when I was a teenager in the 80's and I fell in love and I just recently got saved and I still listen to them. I know my sweet mother is walking with Jesus and still listening to Kenny sing in Heaven. I feel like he is still with us everytime I listen to him sing. I know he's singing praises to our GOD in Heaven.

I love the Hinsons seen them in concert so many times was young at the time but went to church and a faithful Christian even though I was young I had the biggest crush on Kenny Hinson, and at every single concert I went to no matter what I wore he always had on something that matched it, I would give anything to have them pictures I know my mom had them when she passed but I have no clue where they are now, this is by far the best group ever in gospel music. they were the reason besides serving Christ that I loved gospel music and I sing hinson songs all the time.

Kenny Hinson was one of if not the finest gospel music singer. I had the privilege of seeing them when they did their farewell "One More Hallelujah" Tour. So glad I did. Kenny had a one in a million voice. So glad he used his God given talent for the Lord. He is singing with the angels now. He is missed. The Hinsons are by far the greatest southern gospel group there ever was or will ever be. Love all their songs. You just can't go wrong when you listen to them. Still love their music to this day.

I absolutely lovethissong... Back in the mid 70's my dad use to promote christian concerts and many, many times dad would book the Hinson's to come and minister... My family got to be pretty good friends with their family... I can remember one time after a concert in Hollister, Ca Ronny, Kenny, Evonne, Larry and their band can to our house for dinner... My dad got upset at me because Kenny and i were in our garage playing pool... That to me is a great memory of my friend Kenny Hinson..... He was also a gifted song writer, singer and musician......

@Carolyn Mcdaris Unfortunately, very few artists in Southern Gospel have earned "millions". As a genre, SGM has always been a relatively small pond compared to other forms of music. Additionally, The Hinsons were somewhat known for having one of the worst record contracts in the industry. In 1975, they signed what amounted to a lifetime recording contract with Nelson Parkerson Jr under the name "Calvary Records". Needless to say, a lifetime recording contract is almost never a good idea for the artist...but is a GREAT idea for the record company. In fact, last I heard, Ronnie was suing Calvary Records for allegedly stealing royalties that belonged to him, as the songwriter. If it gives you any idea of what kind of money SGM songwriters earn, the allegation was that Calvary Records had intercepted royalties over the course of several years that amounted to $66,000 for "The Lighthouse". The mere fact that a Southern Gospel classic like "The Lighthouse" doesn't even produce a six-figure annual income says a lot about how much the SGM audience has shrunk.

Well....I have heard many versions of this song by different groups thanks to the power of youtube, none of them can'r even come close to this version (although some other versions are great).....kenny and the rest of the hinsons just nail this song....what an amazing GOD GIVEN talent this group had and still has....what would I give to see the original hinsons (Larry, Ronny, Evon and Bo) do a concert here in newfoundland, Canada.......it would be awesome!!!!! This is one of my favorite songs that they sang... I got to see The Hinson's 2 times and the last one I went to see was Kenny's last singing date that I know of. The greatest combination that ever lived was this group right here. That song stayed number one for 4 months I think. Longer than any but whats important is why? Because of the power of God the anointing of the Holy Ghost and they continually acknowledge that in every program they have. They are ministers first and then sing a song about it.

I full well know that he is a in a truly glorious place and I wouldn't want him to come back to this world that gets more evil and ungodly with every passing day. He's singing... yes I believe he is..... in a choir like no other in the universe and whatever pain he experienced here in his earthly life..... is all totally gone.... washed away by the blood and the love of my Lord and Savior. But oh how I miss him, and I long for the day, and that shouldn't be very much longer, when I can hear him sing in that place that knows no rain, but only sunshine.... no sadness, but only joy.... no pain, but only the comfort that comes from Jesus Christ. There will never be another Kenny Hinson.... never.... and I am privileged to have been alive when the Lord chose to send him here for a time. I pray that his family and friends realize the gift that we shared for too short a time and that we all can live safe in the knowledge that we will see him again.... God bless you....

Great song. Listening back to the southern gospel of the 80 & 90's I get disappointed in some of the groups. It seemed as tho some of them used the growing popularity of this genre of music to gain fame. No question there were some great singers some just did it for the wrong reasons and it shows when they get in front of the crowd.
